HATTON GARDEN METALS Feedback Thread

Hmm, another new poster who signs up just to sing the praises of someone they have done business with.
How much did Hatton Garden Metals bung you to post this (or is it part of your job description?) - don't know why I am bothering to ask in reality as I'm sure pendulumred will never return to this forum.0 -
I was very dubious about posting gold to a company for cash but my fears were totally unfounded.
Seeing the best rate from Hatton Garden Metals on the MSE website I thought I'd give it a go. My local jeweller verified the weight and carat for me, but couldn't offer me a good rate.
So I sent my jewellery Special Delivery after following the easy instructions on HGM website.
The day they received the gold, I had the money in my account!
In fact I got more than the original estimate on their website.
I just need to search round for some more to send now!
I would recommend HGM to anyone looking for a top rate for gold/silver items.0 -
Got quote and posted it Thursday. Came back to me Friday am with updated quote (my kitchen scales not accurate!!). Saturday am received cheque. Price in line with best prices on comparison site. Excellent work. :j0

After trying a local jewellers and being offered £114 for my gold (didn't bother to ask about the silver!). I did some research online and sent my gold off to Hatton Garden Metals yesterday afternoon, I received payment in my bank account by 12.30pm today. The amount slightly lower than the quote but due to the inaccuracy of my kitchen scales on the gold weight. It was still over two hundred pounds higher than the offer from the jewellers.
I had some trepidation about using a postal gold service but the ease and speed of the service provided was excellent and I am very happy to recommend the company to anyone who is considering disposing of unwanted gold.
FIRST RATE!
The money is going straight into my new puppy fund!:j0 -
Wow!! Used HGM for the first time today to sell 45g of 9k gold! Price quoted was the price paid = £543! Very happy! I posted yesterday and they received at 1pm today as cash in my bank by 245! Amazing service and would highly recommend!0

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
Four posts in a row all from first time posters bigging up HGM - is anyone else sensing a trend here?0 -
Gb12345 - I know it does look weird but once HGM sent me cash today their email asked or feedback with a link to this site! I bothered to do as they have actually provided a great service and I believe sometimes we are quick to complain but don't take effort to reward good service! Took me 2 mins to register so I think worthwhile!0

I have been reading this post over the past week and was dubious admittedly, but I did send some gold off yesterday just a mix of white and yellow gold broken chains an old ring and odd earrings and today I am £340 better off. Their email remittance advice asks for a mention on here if you're happy with their service. All I can say is what a great service, I emailed a query yesterday before sending anything and the response was super quick, posted yesterday and cash in the bank today!! Very impressed!0

USED: Sat 12 Jan
SENT: just over 20g of 9ct gold rings (x 3), bracelets, thin chains, locket, broken earrings and a thin dented bangle:
HGM PROMISED: just over £276
HGM DELIVERED: £276.35
EFFICIENT: Highly
If it didn't deliver the full amount, what was its reason: n/a
Anything else others should know ? -
Weighed disparate mix of old unused bits of jewellery on kitchen scales @ 20g. Posted special delivery cost @ £5. Hatton emailed to say actually 22.2g and asked if I wanted to proceed or have items returned. Authorised to proceed. Hatton emailed remittance advice and paid £276.35 into bank within a couple of hours of authorisation. Absolutely fantastic service and so easy. Would definitely recommend. Yes, all the newbie comments make it look very odd, but as some have said, Hatton actively ask on final email following service that if you are happy with their services to comment on this forum and provide a link within the email. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again, really helped me this week. Finally Debt Free (£8k to zero) yay! :j :j

I'm a massively skeptical and distrusting person, yet circumstances have meant we needed to get some money fast. We had a Krugerrand worth around a thousand pounds that wasn't selling on Ebay.
Yesterday I read the reviews here regarding Hatton Garden Metals and thought I'd try it - the fact they advise special delivery was encouraging. Even so, I was very nervous about sending gold worth that much to a company on the internet. I phoned them and was politely and clearly given instructions on how to send the coin. I sent it at 4pm yesterday. Today I checked my banking by chance, and the money was there - a tenner more than had been quoted on their website yesterday, which happily covered the postage cost. And we probably got more for it than we would have received on Ebay anyway.
I'm truly impressed, and can't recommend this company highly enough. Thanks also to MSE for the forum advice. Top notch. :rotfl:0
