Posted gold off Monday morning. Paid by midday, cleared funds into my account. This is where all the jewellers scrap out their gold. HGM are unbeatable and very very fast. Well done guys 10/10.

I used HGM on 11 February 2013 to send off an old gold necklace I didn't want anymore. It was unhallmarked and so I wasn't sure of the gold value. HGM kept me fully informed and paid the amount into my account the very next day. Excellent service and good prices compared to the high street.

Hi, just used hatton garden metals and the service was fantastic. i posted my gold yesterday by special delivery and my money was in my bank account by lunchtime today. Price was a little different from what was quoted but that was my fault as i has quoted the carat wrong but there were no problems with that. Great communicators, i received an email at every stage. Brilliant. :T

Very Impressed! decided to have a spring clear out , found five gold rings that I hadn't worn in years, cheap ones that I bought when I was younger, a necklace that my husband had never worn (not too thick) two bracelets (one scrap) . Sent them off Special delivery £6.90 yesterday (14/02) around 11am, the lady at the Post office said it was insured up to £1000, they also do a service that insures up to £500. I got the money today in my bank account! cant say better than that .

Wow, excellent service and price for my old gold! Sent off on Monday money in my account by midday Tuesday. I Highly reccomend them.

This company impressed me very much. They have an easy to use calculator for estimates of your scrap gold with clear instructions of how to sell your gold to them. I posted my scrap gold on Monday afternoon, special delivery, as instructed; got an email confirming receipt of the gold and the amount they would be giving me for it by Tuesday morning, the cheque arrived in Wednesday's post! Fantastic turn around and professional handling, highly recommended.

I posted my "scrap" gold (unwanted, unworn and damaged) on Wednesday. Received an email from HGM to say it had arrived safely on Thursday, followed by a second email to say the valuation was £592 - more than I had thought from their Website guide. Cheque arrived by first class post this morning (Friday)! Could not fault the service. It all felt very secure and was so quick. Booked a short break and and a new tumble dryer! Thank you! :beer:

Thoroughly recommended! Following recommendation from MSE, I checked out the website, got a quote and mailed our unwanted gold via special delivery yesterday morning. I'm delighted to say that the quoted amount was credited to our account this morning. Fantastic service ... well done Hatton Garden Metals! Would definitely use again.

I have never trusted the idea of sending gold off for cash but after getting a few quotes from some shops I felt that I was being short changed. So I did some research online and came across MSE recommendation about HGM.

I used the calculator on their website and couldn't believe that it was quoting over £200 more than what I had previously been quoted..........surely there is a catch?!?

Anyway after a short conversation with an employee of HGM I was advised to write 'quote' on the paperwork that I would send off with my gold so they would contact me once they had received my gold and valued it. And then I could decide whether I wanted to accept this offer or not.

Well I took the plunge and sent my gold off yesterday by special delivery and they received it today by 1.

I still hadn't received any contact from HGM and checked my account online with them. Stated it had been received and weighed. And had 'payque' comment on it but still no quote.

I sent in 142g of 9ct gold. They weighed it at 141.40g which wasn't bad. I used their calculator again with the new weight while I was awaiting their quote. It Came back as just over £1700 which I thought was great, but was skeptical whether I would get anything close to this.

Shortly after this I received an email with a receipt of payment for £1729!!!! WOW!!!! 20minutes later it was in my bank!!!!!

Very pleased with the price but disappointed that I never even received a call with the 'quote' like mentioned over the phone previously and it was assumed that I would accept it.

WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND USE AGAIN!!!!

Make sure you use special delivery with the correct insurance cover. I paid just under £10 with cover upto £2000.

I had a small pure gold bar set in a necklace to sell (it was hideous!) and did some research on selling gold on money saving expert site and discovered Hatton Gardens Metals. I knew that the gold bar was 24ct but was unsure of the chain so paid a visit to 'Ramsdens' to try to find out and get a quote. It didnt have a British hallmark as it was bought in United Arab Emirates but they seemed to think it was 22 ct and quoted me £200. When I put the weights into the HGM online calculator the estimate was £521 !! I followed the online instructions and posted off my necklace yesterday about 3pm. I received an email this morning about 10am informing me that they had tested the necklace and it was 20ct and would obviously be worth a bit less and did I want to proceed. I confirmed that I did and received another email at 2pm informing me that a payment of £483 had been deposited into my bank account. What a result! First Class service! Thankyou HGM and Money Saving Expert!:T
