Hello all
Thank you to everyone for your kind and sensible thoughts about me (Chez, SnowyOwl, Michelle et all), the house and men. PP, Nicki and Shez ((((hugs)))) all round and to all those who need them. I can vouch that having electronic hugs makes one feel a teensy better.
I'd better let you all into a little secret about the house, so you know why my heart's set on it - it's in a seaside town, overlooking a wooded valley, within 10 minutes walk of the beach. See how hard this would be to give up? Yes it is opposite ex-OH, but maybe I can persuade him to move
Off to give my grandparents a lift to Portsmouth (first time driving since op - ooh!) so will keep it short today. Thanks to OS inspiration all my clothes are clean and ironed so it is easy to pack.
Sorry I can't chat for longer, will try to log on at my sister's later.
BTW - big congrats to me, didn't cry myself to sleep last night for first time in 5 weeks!
Bye all, hugs to those who need it and all have good days.

Good morning all
Back from my long break, and yes, I had a lovely time being mostly lazy and pottering about in the garden when the weather allowed.
DW - empty
WM - empty
BM - empty
SC - empty
Tum - full of a late breakfast of toasted cinnamon and sultana bread
Hands - just about to be filled with gardening implements because it's wa-a-ay too nice a day to be indoors.

Morning :hello:
SOMO1 - get yourself to the doctor asap!
It's my housemate's birthday today, he's off to Folkestone for the weekend and he liked the card I gave him, and his present (some tickets for an opera where he knows one of the main singers). As you'll know from the thread I started the other day, I'm also planning to do him a birthday cake, but he says it can wait until next week or whenever, to make his birthday go on longerwhich is great cos I'm pretty busy this weekend!
Tonight being my first evening at home since Monday (and my last one till Tuesday ) I need to be a busy bee this evening:
- remove summer clothes from loft
- strip my bed and get AT LEAST two loads of washing done
- batch cook some beef pies I've got in the freezer, with peas and new pots, and re-freeze for some of next week's lunches. With housemate away I can take over the kitchen - hehe!
- work out how to use up some over-ripe pears I picked up cheap in Tesco the other day (fruit cobbler or crumble perhaps?)
- tidy up enough so that I can hoover and de-flea the carpets - in the last week the cat-fleas seem to have woken up for the summer and I've been getting munched
Hehe - in the last five mins we've all been handed corporate goody bags full of World Cup stuff. Including England flags. Which is hilarious because (a) half the people in my office are Scots, and (b) we're owned by a French company so presumably they're just trying to humour the English cos they know they'll probably do better than us:rolleyes:
nicki - ((((hugs)))) hope your nanna improves. And hugs also to Shez and anybody else having a bad news day.
catowen - brilliant news that your platelet count is up! Enjoy your holiday
PP - I hope you feel better later ((hugs))
Enjoy your Friday everybody.

Back from school. Very strange day today, OH has taken the day off so if I need to get anywhere I can go. He's washed the car by hand and I've sorted out the piles of decluttered stuff, 2 boxes of which have gone into school for the summer fair with DD this morning.
Going to try and sort out the rest of the to ebay stuff so I can bag up more stuff for the summer fair but first off I'm going to get the school website/hosting sorted out since OH is home and can help me.

(((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) to all those who need them................
Well I had an experience yesterday, rang the Doctors just after 11am to get a prescription for the Cystitis, was told, well you can see her if you want, we have an appoinment at 11.50am........... almost fainted........ needless to say I took it. Went with a packed lunch and a book, we oftrn have to wait hours to see the Doc they are running so far behind. Waiting room EMPTY!!!!! sat down 2 minutes later, went through to the Doctor, she almost had to revive me, obviouly the sunny weather has made everyone feel so much better. Got my script, and she weighed me, I don't know how but I have lost 6lbs, so she was pleased about that, has given me Xenicol to collect fat, not too sure if I am going to go with it, but will see, might just give it a try and see what happens.........
Load of washing in, OH did not cough so much last night, made him a dollop of lemon gylcerine and honey, so he is taking that, he is playing bowls, so guess he can't be that bad.
Off to the library, thanks to no sleep have read all the books I got out the other day, so need replacements.....................

 Hello everyone
Haven't posted in ages, for one reason or another, but you know how it is, time just flies by. In my defence though, I have been reading all the daily posts
PP hope you feel better today. You must feel like a pin cushion
TM I bet your OH is nominating you for 'wife of the year', bet he was pleased with the tv
SOMO1If I remember rightly, the 'drawing a red line around it and having to elevate it above your heart' is so the infection doesnt go any further up your arm. I think its called tracking. A friend once had it, it spread v. quickly and we had to spend an afternoon at the local A&E.
Nicki ((((((((((((hugs))))))))))) I'll be thinking about you and your family.
Bargain Rzl You sound really nice. Your always doing things for other people, like the cake making or when you went to Glynebourne, how you made the lunches. Plus, you have one fantastic social life.............hmm social life.............sure I used to have one of those before kids came along  :rotfl:
Squeakynice to have you back.
Mushy PeasGood luck with the house, and think on, make sure you look drop dead gorgeous every day, always with a smile on your face and making friends with all the neighbours then the ex-bf will start kicking himself at wht he has given up.
And to everyone else I have forgotton ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))
Glad to be back, you can really start to ramble on here cant you?:rotfl:
Actually, I'm procrastinating, should be doing the ironing but its tooooo hot. But I really have to do it, were off for the weekend (my mum and step father are spending the weekend with us to, but I dont have a brill relationship with my mum, something some of you can relate to. Anyway, gotta get it done otherwise OH will have no t-shirts to wear.
Have a good day everyone and a fantastic weekend.
Back soon
Julie xxxI also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like youwould like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing
