    Good morning all

    Looks like another glorious day here ahead:T :T :T :j :j :j

Last night at about 8pm someone was at the door, I opened it to one of my oh's friends who he hasnt seen in about a year and I was gob smacked, he has lost 4 stone and in my opinion he looked ill, he was always a big burly bloke really thick set but he looked so frail and pale, the reason for the weight loss is him and his wife splitting up (not a good way to lose weight) I dont even know why i'm wriing this I suppose I was that shocked:eek:

W*** again today, thank goodness for air con in cars otherwise i'd cook:cool:
    Plans for the weekend are:
    Saturday: FOOTBALL! COME ON ENGLAND
and Sunday if the weather is nice another bbq I think and a topping up the tan session.
    Hope everone is well
  • Morning all

Well my HUGE insect bite has turned into cellulitis  Currently can't walk and am on antibiotics and strong painkillers. If it worsens I'll have to go into hospital and have intravenous antibiotics  It's turned black this morning so I'm taking the day off work as I have to keep it elevated above my heart

Anyway that aside, I'm looking forward to a totally non OS day - as we're going away at the weekend and I need it to get a bit better :D

    (((((hugs))))) to all

    Morning.

I think we will be in for another scorcher today. I was looking at a weather forecast on the bbc website, and it will hit 29 on Monday. EEK. I've frozen some water bottles today. I usually have cool water in the fridge at work, but i figure it will double up as a compress. I'll try and stand in front of the AC while i teach, and sod what i look like. At least i had a reasonable nights sleep.

Plans for the weekend. I still have 200 SAT papers to mark. I need to be finished by Monday so i know what will occupy the whole weekend. At least with DH away i'll be able to get on. I think i'd best do some of that tonight. I'm not that interested in watching the football. I'll probably be able to hear the cheering from the pub at the end of the road if England score anyway.

I also have a DVD to watch, and lots of washing to do as i haven't done any since last Sunday.

Wish i was going with you to disney land catowen. I'd be able to keep you company as i wouldn't be allowed on the big rides either. I'm glad to hear your platelets are so high. At least you won't have that to worry about.

hugs to Shez and snowy owl, and mushy peas for later. It's the last w***day of the week. Which reminds me, i should be leaving now. Lots to do this morning.

sorry to butt in...what do you mean its turned black? bruising or black tissue?
black tissue is not good...please get it checked out asap.

    p.s. I am a nurse.

  • Thanks Dogrose - I think it's black tissue. I'm taking DD to school in half an hour, and the Dr's is right next door so I'm going to hobble in and see one. I saw a Dr yesterday (it wasn't black then) and she gave me antibiotics and cocodamol (sp?) and made me draw round the red area with a pen and said if it grows much further outside of that then to go back. She didn't say anything about it turning black  But I will get it checked out - thanks

Hugs to Shez, MP, stressed and all who need one.

I'm off to DD's assembly this morning so I had to get up extra early to wash my hair. It's waist length and takes ages to dry :(

I'm also getting fed up of not being able to get on with things in the morning because she's so busy daydreaming. I used to be able to get loads done before I left for school but now I have to sit and supervise every single mouthful of breakfast and every item of clothes she puts on, it's really starting to get me down. I'm really hoping that it doesn't get too hot today, I have loads to do and I never feel like doing much when it is too hot.

    Morning

Only a quick one as feeling terrible today. Hospital said this happens. OH has to help me in bath, out and dry/dressed...poor guy:eek:

Cleaner due any minute so no worries with anything really. 1st washload of bedding just about to be put on the line, then have another 2 washloads.

Will chat later if feeling up to it.

    Hugs to all.

Not read the thread as we're running late here today but just wanted to say

    Thank You All

The bad news is that my nanna was rushed into hospital yesterday very ill. She's now basically in intensive care and we won't know anymore until my Dad speaks to her doctor. I don't want to say anything else (it's not my place to) apart from it doesn't look good. :(

Got to go and get DD ready for school.

    Morning everyone!
DS2 is of school today - I think his tonsilitis has flared up again. A trip to the doctors is on the cards....

Another scorching day here again - BBQ for tea maybe. House needs a bit of a tidy, but I have other stuff to do as well. My baby bro' is getting married next week, and I need to get DH suit to the cleaners etc. Hope everyone has a good one...

So sorry to hear about your nan. Big Hug.

    Stressed out mum

Definately see your doctor straight away.

    Penny pincher

Sorry you are feeling so weak.

When we went to see my dad last night I found out that he was on antibiotics for tonsillitis! He saw the social worker yesterday for ages - "What did she say?" "Cant remember"

Saw the doctor - "what did he say" "Cant remember"

Eventually went and asked and they are trying to get care visits set in place so he can go home some time next week depending on wether he is still feverish.

He totally forgot I had bought him new trousers on Saturday and asked me to bring in a tape measure to see what size he needed. When we pulled the brand new trousers out of his holdall- showed them to him and reminded him that he had tried them on on Saturday and that they fitted him- he seemed to be taking it in.

DD comes home from uni tomorrow !!!! :j
