Hello. It's still really hot isn't it.

TM or jockett, i might have to pop to one of your houses and join the kids in the paddling pool. ;)

I'm sat with my feet in a bowl of water, they are a bit wrinkly as they have been in there for an hour and a half. I briefly got them out when my neighbour knocked on the door. And the cats both had a go at paddling too. Very messy!

The temperatures were hitting 30 degrees in the labs today. Thank god i don't have to work on saturday which is supposed to be hotter still.

I'm a bit of a happier bunny today because the exam paper was quite nice - the Biology bit at least, so my year tens won't have been affected too badly by my long absence provided they have listened to me even half of the time in the past two weeks. Plus, a lot of what i did with my bro last night was on the paper, so he has been lucky.

I also got discharged from the speech therapy, so one more trip to the hospital for a scan next week, and then the next time after that will be the birth. (i'm 20 weeks today.)

Rchdap - the sickiness does go. I found it was round about week 14, and then i felt loads better. Resembling a beached whale in this weather doesn't help now though.

Forgot to say earlier, vicky - congrats on having your contract made permanent. At least you are now secure.

Right, I'm going to remove the feet from the water slowly, and try and sort myself out with some food and then make sure i have everything ready for tomorrow. I might even manage a nice bath before house.

    Take care everyone.

    Michelle, xx

    Hi everyone :hello:

Many thanks for the best wishes on the permanent contract. It's quite a relief that I don't have to look for a job all the time. However, coming from the meeting last night about the school's amalgamation, I'll have until next summer in this job..... No job will be "guaranteed" after 31st August 2007. At least I'm cheap if I want to move on! ;)

jockettuk - how did the viewing go?

MATH - that's ridiculous that your DD was told to wear a jumper. I've still got a couple of children in my class that are still wearing their fleeces and I'm trying to tell them that it's ok to wear their t-shirts. My lot also seem to all have their sun cream for when they're outside - and hats (mostly with an England/3 lions/St George cross theme  :D).

I was pretty furious this afternoon when it was supposed to be my time out of the classroom, so I had loads of planning, reports, marking etc to do. Anyway, the lady in charge of Special Needs in the school says "would you like to come to X's Annual Statement Review this afternoon?" It's an incredibly important meeting for this one person in my class and I was told about it 15mins beforehand!

I'm exhausted now after all that thinking!

    Bye

    Good Morning all!

I have just finished reading yesterdays thread, which i didnt get to post on, and looking at the time I thought I might as well start todays - otherwise I might not get time later either!

I too have had some bad news/family situation this week too,(hence not getting to post) I wont bore everyone with details, we all got our own stuff going on. Also feeling abit low and wanting to stuff chocolate (must be PMT time me thinks? ) havent done davina for 2 days now - wanted to get out for some "me" time this evening and go for bike ride but then DS2 woke up and didnt get back to sleep till 10pm, so bang went my evening!
Also spent too much in shops this week, so feel bad/guilty about that too.
Oh listen to me rambling on, silly moo.:o

MP - is the house yr buying really opposite ex OH? if so, bad news, forget it and move on. Have a good holiday in Cornwall, not too many pasties now!!
nicki - sorry you had bad news too.
TM - the Mega TV sounds fab!!! have you managed to drag yourself away from it yet!!!!
Snowyowl - you should have kicked him off yr chair!

Hope everyone has a good friday/holidays to all those on or going away.

    Morning Shez!

Yeah, I should have kicked him off my chair, but it was so awkward! He's a director but such a condescending prat face it really makes you squirm with his insincere smirks and so on. Ugh It's the middle of the night, why am I thinking about that greasy creep!?!

Shez, sorry you've got family upsets at the minute - I think you deserve some scrummy chocolate. If you're also suffering from PMT then at least by Monday you'll be feeling better when you start your new job (sorry if you didn't want the reminder!). An Aussie friend of mine who had dreadful gynae problems was told by her consultant that during PMT when we are so ravenous we would eat the door of the sweetie shop to get hold of the chocolate we are burning calories at more than double the normal rate. Don't feel guilty when you find yourself with an empty wrapper in your hand as you will have satisfied rather than supressed one of your most natural womanly instincts. (Does anybody believe this, other than me and my friend??)

ChaMichelle - I feel so sorry for you in this heat. Your poor tootsies... think you gotta let comfort win over fashion or good looks, just for now.

MushyPeas - I've done that blubbing in public thing as well...not one of my prouder moments I must admit, and didn't endear me at all to that particular ex. No man is worth your tears. You said it yourself when you mentioned that his feelings for you changed some months ago. It's hard but try and let go of the past, look forward rather than back.

I'm wrecked...am off to beddy byes now.

    Happy Friday everyone.

Good morning Shez and Snowy Owl!!! (and everyone to follow!!!)

Well, Im so EXCITED!!!! I couldnt sleep, lay in bed for half an hour trying to go back to sleep, but finally gave up, so im down here having a cup of tea and waiting for a nice bubble bath to run. Then i will start my 'big clean' (i cant go away for two weeks and leave the house in a mess!!!) unfrtunatly, due to the lovely weather, and having been really busy, the house has been a bit neglected, so quite a lot to do. I also have one little one here today (couldnt afford the day off)

OOpps, thats how excited i am, posted my reply before i had finished!!! oh well, will continue in a minute!!!!

Anyway, i think as long as i can hoover upstairs before he gets here (i dont like going upstairs unless its to the loo and leaving little ones down on their own, i know the are 3 years old now, but im sure thats when they would do something they shouldnt!!!) i will be ok, we are travelling up to London at 4pm, which is as soon as all the ones i look after (i pick another up from school) will have gone home, so fingers crossed there for desent traffic, although we are bound to hit Bristol at rush hour, friday tea time!!!!
Mind you, ive made sure DS and DDs gameboys are fully charged, so they will have something to keep them happy on the journey, and im going to pop to the shops later, and treat us to some nice sandwiches for dinner (to eat in the car) and stock up on drinks as its bound to be hot, and i dont fancy motorway services prices!!! I also need to pop into the travel agents, they only gave me two baggage labels, and i need an extra one.
I also had some very good news yesterday, my platelet level was..........71!!!!!!! Which is brilliant for me, and means i can definatly fly safely:j I just wish i knew how my body did it, i know in a week or two it will be around the 30 mark again, but never mind, as long as it stays above 20, i will be ok (and my consultant has threatened to remove my spleen if it drops below 20 again  )

Anyway, ive just run myself a lovely bubble bath, so im going to relax for half an hour before i get started, everything that can be packed, is packed (and yes, i did get all my ironing done last night, only took about 10 minutes, as there wasnt much in the packing that needed doing, i supose its like most things, its the thought of doing it rather than the actual job thats the problem!!!) and its just the house that needs sorting.

Nikki and Shez - really sorry you are having problems, i hope that any bad news improves for you both :grouphug:

Michelle and rchddap - hope the weather improves for you both, and any sickness eases for you, i was pregnant with DS in the summer, and can really appriciate how you are both feeling, but it really will be worth it in the end :A

Vicky - forgot to say yesterday, well done on getting your perminant contract :T

Sorry if i have missed anyone out, so much going on in my brain at the moment, im worried that i have forgotton something, but if it isnt packed now, i dont think it will be!!!! Hope to pop back on later, so hope everyone has a lovely morning,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
