Hello everybody,
I'm trying very hard to type quietly as I've just got Travis off too sleep.BB is on very quietly as well.
The joys of having a cot in the lounge room. Granny has had an exhausting day today. Didn't get a lot of sleep last night. He has a bit of a cold so when he cough's he wakes himself up & us. Gave him some cough medicine tonight and rubbed his chest & back with euc oil cream. Hopefully that should do the trick.
DYS birthday today. He's 22. Called him this arv after work for a natter. He's going out with his brother to paint the town red. It feels rather odd sometimes as a lot of my friends of my age had their kids in their late 30's etc and are still in the pre-school & primary age group. At times I am so glad I don't have any that age.
Tomorrow will be much the same as today. Ex DIL won't be back until nightfall so we will be looking after DGS. They leave on Sun morn. I'm making HM Pizza's for tea tomorrow night. Lucky you in having the lovely warm weather. 29 isn't that hot. Try 39  Talk later.
Squeaky Lovely to hear from you. We all have missed you.
Mushy I wouldn't go there if I were you. Find another house, it's not worth the hassle.
PP Chin up old girlI didn't get a sink like yours after all even though I love the picture of yours. They are soooooo exp here. Bit over the budget. Drat.
((((hugs)))) to all who need them, ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Hello, everyone. Not posted on this thread before. Have some good news - one of the 11 hens eggs that we've been keeping warm in our incubator for the last 3 weeks has just shown the first sign of hatching! Not done this hatching business before (but we've kept hens for some time). Big surprise for the children when they get home from school.
DH admits this is more scary than when we were expecting our own children. Anyone know if you can take adoption leave when you have chicks?

Hellooooooo
Welcome back squeaky - you've been missed
(((hugs))) to all those who are ill or have various traumas in their lives, too.
I didn't get round to getting the paddling pool up last night - between the BBQ I did and tryng to sort the tv out, I didn't have time. It's def coming out this afternoon, after DS2 has gone to pre-school. then I can get it inflated and filled without him trying to climb in.
Tell ya what - you need a degree in electronics or some such, to work out how to use this tv, mainly because I got an 'everything' recorder with it. I haven't had time to study the literature yet, but it aint straightforwardAnd yes, Mr TM was absolutely delighted with it - I've told him he's not getting a father's day pressie though
Thing is, he was out last night and away tonight, so he won't get to watch it until late saturday night
So, today is a 'bits and pieces' day. I have washing on the line and after lunch the DW will go on. BM needs putting on soon too. I'll do some general tidying and may even make a start on clearing out the odd drawer or cupboard. However, it's so lovely I'll be in the garden - grass needs cutting and plants need planting.
B: musesli, fruit salad and green tea
L: Soup and HM breadNot a clue yet, cos don't know what I fancy, but will make a rhubarb and strawberry crumble with cream/ice cream for pud.
Take care everyone,
TM xxx
ps The postman has just been and delivered 500 English GCSE papers for Mr TM to mark. That means Mr TM locks himself away and I won't see him for about 3 weeks!! Glad I'm not doing that. I just have to move the 11 parcels into the room where he marks!0 -
Just a quick hello to say hope everyone has a nice day and (((hugs))) to those in need.
I'm off to my parents house later to see my little cat that I have to leave there as she'd get squashed in a second here, and then tomorrow I'm off to see Cats (the musical) in Stoke with my best friend from primary school!!!
Last day to spend with my OH today as I'm back at work on Sunday
Not a lot else to say really - have a nice weekend people0 -

My friend who is preggers popped in this morning and in abit of state as shes not sure how she is going to survive finacially, so have posted in the benefit section to ask for help.

Well I've bought the domain on behalf of the school :j and I'm trying to keep busy by continuing with the editing of the website.
After 12 I'm going to quit and set too on the ebay stuff so I can get stuff bagged up into THICK bin bags before DD comes home at 3.15;)
Laters :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Just came back on to say welcome back to squeaky
You've made me blush, outrageous_monkey:D I just like cooking so it's nice to cook for more people than just me, as it means I get to do more of it - AND it gets appreciated! Some of my colleagues have said (in jest) that I should set up a sideline in batch-cooking their lunches - might have to, once I'm living on my own with nobody to feed
The social life is all music related and in a way I wish I didn't HAVE to go out every night in order to see all the things that I'm interested in, IYSWIM! It's only normally this bad (5-6 nights out a week!) in June, then nearly as busy in July-September (maybe 4-5 nights out a week) but for the rest of the year it's fairly easy to keep it at around 2 nights a week, which keeps me sane and solvent, and gives me time to do other thingsOf course even if I go to things by myself, and on a cheap ticket, chances are I'll run into loads of people I know and end up in the pub till closing time
I have to budget my money and my time very carefully to fit it all in. I even, um, have a spreadsheet which tells me off when my cumulative alcohol consumption gets too ridiculous
:D:o (That's sad isn't it?

Hello everybody Dr Nic here - well no actually it's me. NOt posted for AGES as I've been working all hours - f/t job now and taken on another private consultant clinic (so that's 2), typing research papers/interview transcriptions for a university, increased my avon 'round and signed up to a digital medical transcription service!!! You may have gathered from this that OH's business has, well it hasn't.....
So he's stacking shelves at Asda and driving wedding cars. However, a few days off at the mo as yesterday was our wedding anniversary - 4 years although it took us 12 to get there!!! We did go out for a meal last night but OH had budgetted for it. he's now building a wall in the backgarden.
Any e-bayers out there? what's the best day to have your listing close? Good news however, only OH has about £2.5k on an interest free cc - all other cards GONE.:j And we are starting to have savings (they were wiped out by our trip to Turkey for the eclipse) so we can start saving for the next one now - hurrah. Right off to bag up my Avon delivery.
Big Big hugs to everyone who needs them and a cheery "hello" to everyone else.:D
(and yes, I am going for a smilie inlcusion record)
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0 -
Tootles: Just read through your post again. I was given Xenical - lost initially about half-a-stone but then it ground to a halt. Now I don't take it as I found that even when I wasn't eating "fat" it still had an, ahem, tendency to think I was................ i am now just eating healthily instead.....But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0
