:hello: Gooood morning OS'ers
Haven't achieved much this morning, a reply I was making took longer than I thought
Snowy - re: yesterday, I don't think you were being too sensitive.
apple_mint - just wanted to say, well done on your weight loss to date!! :T :T :T
ageandjo - sounds like your bungalow is going to stand out from the crowd:T :T
PP - good luck today. When my SIL went to hospital, I bought her a meditation CD to listen to and calm her anxieties. She thought it was brilliant and relaxed her so she wasn't quite so anxious about the procedures. Might be something you could consider?
Managed to get most of my admin done yesterday and was happy to be interrupted with a really lovely surprise phone call which perked me up no end!
Today is quick turnaround for the boys because of clubs and footie training and d10yo needs a certain colour t-shirt for his school world cup league for tomorrow, so I think a quick trip to Matalan is in order - I don't *have* that colour, no dye and it's not a colour he usually wears anyway. Well, he will now if I have to buy it!
I've dragged out my rebounderso I'm going to try and focus on have a boing each morning. Failed miserably so far because I've got sidetracked on here
Time to log off I think, otherwise it'll be tea time before I know it.
Have a good day ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Good morning everyone. After feeling so welcome yesterday, I couldn't stay away. I've caught up on my sleep after waking up at 3am yesterday. So I'm raring to go. (Sort of!)
Didn't manage to clean the fridge yesterday, so that's to do. Also the dusting, change the beds, trip to the garden centre. DH has 10 days off work starting tomorrow so I want to get the house in order so we can relax. Yipeee!
I hope you all have a good day.May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Good morning everyone,
Just a quick one today, got so much to do!!!! Lovely weather again, WM on with its first load and just about to take the children to school. Then have to pop back to hang washing out and put second load on, before going into Plymouth for the last of our holiday shopping (i knew i would forget something last Saturday!!!) Then really do need to iron the stuff in our suitcases, before picking up the children from school and having a trip to the dentist!!!!
Oh, and must phone the doctors for the result of my blood test, to see if my levels are still high enough to fly, and whether i will need to take the steroids they prescribed!!!
Well, better get on, loads of (((HUGS))) to everyone
PP - good luck at the hospital
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning.
I'm having a leisurely breakfast this morning before my day. I had a really tiring day because of the heat again. My feet swelled so my straps on the sandals left bruises. i had to take my rings off, and my hayfever was so bad i looked a real state. And thats after taking tablets since february. I only taught one lesson, but it was in the afternoon, and by that time i was in such a state that the kids thought i was about to pass out, and had an emergency plan between them about who would look after me, and who would carry on teaching the class. It didn't stop one oik giving me grief, but we are having his mother up to school next week. He actually tried to push past me. I don't know what goes through their heads at times.
I had 2 fans and an AC unit in my classroom which my colleagues gave up as they thought i was more in need. I might take a thermometer into the room today, and see what i am up against. I'm sure its not good to get that hot while pregnant, and i'm sure the dr would agree with me.Then went to my mums and did an hour and a half revision with my brother for his exam today, and was fed for my efforts. :T
No teaching for me today. I've managed to get my speech therapy appointment scheduled for the same time as my two lessons today. I then have to go in as we are interviewing a new teacher to replace one of my colleagues that is retiring. I get a free lunch, so i don't want to miss that. :rotfl:
I'm going to take a short walk up to the post collection office in a minute to get a parcel from tuesday. Then i'd best do a bit of a practice of my speech therapy exercises and i'll head over there earliesh, try to get a parking space and take my school book with me.
Just wanted to say, enjoy your holidays catowen and nelski. Hope the weather is wonderful and you get chance to relax and be refreshed.
B]PP[/B] - hope the infusion makes you feel a bit better, and it doesn't cause you too much anxiety. I'll spare a few thoughts for you today.
Well best get on.
Love to everyone.

Morning everyone
Another scorcher here today - I've promised the boys I'll get the paddling pool out after school so it can stay up over the weekend (no hose pipe bans here in the wet North West:D) I would have got it out yesterday but I'm looking after my friend's DS2 this afternoon and I don't want them both in the pool when I have all the school runs to do.
Yippee - my new tv turns up today. I haven't told Mr TM I've bought it (it's OK - he wanted one and I said No, but I've juggled the finances so have been able to get it early) We still have one of those huge black monstrosities circa mid 90's, so a big widescreen plasma is going to be "awesome". I may freecycle the old one as it has a bit of life left in it. I've also bought a video/dvd/HD recorder thingy too - that's what I'm looking forward too :j Mr TM certainly doesn't know about thatThe boys have been told there will be a surprise when they get home - DS1 thinks it's the paddling pool
Anyway - have to do an Aldi/Lidl run this morning because we are low on fresh fruit/veg and certain tinned goods. I'll save my ironing to do in front of the tv tonight - oooh, 'House' in widescreenI have a few bits to do - mainly because I started a major clear out of the attic and sorted out all the charity/recyclable textiles and stuff DS2 is waiting to grow into. Want to dust the dining room today (all the ornaments etc) and will clear all the toys out from the living room before the tv arrives.
Right, need to wet and style my hair (not a good look, going to bed with wet hair :rotfl: Then it's off into town. Catch you all later

Not feeling to bad this morning. First thing I felt absolutely awful, but after I threw up before leaving for work I felt a bit better. Right now I'm tired, and feel very hot and bothered. After listening to the tv weather this morning I'm not looking forward to the weekend. I don't like heat anyway, and 'bean' is making things worse.
Breakfast: didn't stay down so seems pointless in mentioning it
Lunch: usual nibbling of sandwiches, fruit etc...
Tea: Being naughty....OH wanted to eat the remnants of the ready meals that I got cheap (bad I know, but they were on bogof and I thought we both needed a treat).Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.0 -

Morning
Am feeling a bit sheepish this morningcos you know I said I was going to drink soft drinks and go home at a reasonable hour last night? Well that didn't happen
I got chatting to some people and ended up having four beers, staying till last orders and COMPLETELY WRECKING my budget (not least because I bought drinks for one of my friends too - he doesn't have much money and I don't see him very often).
This was partly because I was very peed off when I left work yesterday, because while I'd thought that my imminent promotion (which in fact I haven't even agreed to yet, because the job description hasn't been finalised and there's been no specific mention of salary offer) was confidential, it seems everybody in my office "knows". Except they don't. They all think I've had my old job dumped back onto me (the new job is supposed to contain an element of the one I had before this) and I keep getting people coming up to me and commisserating! I will be having words later with the two senior managers who are the only people I've discussed it with
So am hauling myself back into the land of the well behaved and am wondering whether there is any way I can sustain my social life till payday without dipping into cash that's earmarked for savings:doh:
Am off out with XBF this evening to another concert (there's just SO much on at this time of year) and should be able to make that a relatively cheap one - the programme will be free, and the pub round the corner from the Barbican does pitchers of ale at 4 pints for the price of 3which is just the right amount when there's two of you.
Tomorrow night, thank goodness, I have no plans and will definitely be on no booze and an early night!
Thinking of you at the hosp today PP
TM - do you think the paddling pool idea might get forgotten about when the boys see the new telly
rchddap1 - hope the morning sickness doesn't last too long
michelle - hope the temperature's more bearable today!
ageandjo - goodness you really will be making a statementI'm afraid I'm completely the opposite - I've got no interest in football whatsoever and I swear I'm developing an allergy to world cup fever. I don't mind people getting excited about it, but I wish they wouldn't assume that I want to as well IYSWIM!? The latest thing it, my company's computer network has given us all an (unchangeable) world cup screensaver on our office PCs. (The company I work for is sponsoring the ITV coverage so they are trying to get everybody interested  )
To everybody I've missed and those who come on later - have a lovely day.
