Just rang up BT's automated service and dropped our DDpayments to £25 ;) By my calculations since our servce charges came to £28.07 even with VAT (£7.66 on the last bill) we should have more than enough to pay the bill since it will come to £75 a quarter :D Pretty impressed with myself, May 05 our bill for BT was £91.40, this time it was £51.39 so I have nearly halved it :j

Also overhauled the budget (using the Excel one from here) and discovered that in theory we should have about £100 a month left, now I know that isn't so ATM as there is a problem with the Tax Credits and I didn't receive any last week. We got the paperwork through on Saturday morning as I was enjoying a nice lie-in and would you believe they put down OH's income right (for a change) and then put it again as MY income from other sources  so according to their system we had a joint income of £41,940 which has stopped the tax credits. Don't worry I was on the phone within 30 minutes of the papers coming through the door (had to double check I was reading it all right first :p ) and the nice man "Kevin" has updated their system ;):D:T:rotfl:

Have decided to sit down with OH tonight and present him with a report about his bank account. Usually I would leave it up to him and just moan a bit when he goes overdrawn when I find out about it, but I'm going to show him what his "that's what an overdraft is there for" attitude has cost us (We need an evil smilie here :rotfl: ) Plus just how much the car costs to run a year. I think he's still got too blinkered a view of our finances. I'm going to suggest that we BOTH put ALL our credit cards in a block of ice in the freezer (wrapped in a plastic bag of course first so as not to cause too much damage to them) as I'd like to cut our in-shop spending and keep them solely for on-line big purchases like car/contents insurance etc. Maybe defrosting them to pay for MOT and car-repairs ;) Also need to ask him about downgrading his mobile bundle:rolleyes: I hope he's had a good day in work _pale_

Currently spending my time ripping music onto the computer to sort onto my new MP3 player :j I can't wait to start using it :dance:

Better get on with filing receipts etc.

    Afternoon all

Another busy day here at w***.

Still, managed to get out at lunch to go to boots to get a photo of my dad copied and shrunk to fit in my new photo frame for my desk.

Shez - Yogalates is good. It uses a resistance band with the video. The first half works on bums and tums and stomach I think then the 2nd half is more depth for the first bit and also arms etc. Went back to the original step video last night, easy on Tuesdays, harder reebok one Fridays and Yogalates Sunday.

Am trying to bed in some new thong flops for my holidays £4 from matalan (everyone keeps commenting on how nice they are too ;) ) and they are killing me :o feet are really sore and between my toes are red.

Have decided I have to be mega well behaved food and diet wise now as only 10 weeks til my hols and I will lose at least a stone - note I WILL!!!

    Breakfast - Fruit and Fibre
    Lunch - Chicken salad
    Tea - Sheps pie

I have also decided to stop drinking in the week which should help I think

Have a great rest of the day

Blasted hospitals. OH called me a few minutes ago to say that the hospital have me booked in for an appointment that just so happens to clash with my pregnancy blood tests that are being taken elsewhere. What made me worse was that I can't remember anything about the hospital needing to see me and am now working myself up into a lather about things.

After listening the phone ringing for about 4 or 5 minutes I finally spoke to someone and it transpired that it appears as if the appointment was made by my doctor (assume they meant my GP, but on second thoughts it could mean the consultant)...who hasn't seen me at all during this. Actually saw a locum when I just found out i was expecting. No idea what the appointment was for...nothing.

However, appointment now cancelled, midwife due to give me a call on Friday to hopefully explain what is going on....and I can now relax. If needs be the appointment can be re-scheduled for later. Right now I can't handle surprises very well.

Before anyone says anything I know I could get the bloods done at the hospital, but I don't feel comfortable doing that. I get wound up by needles, end up having a panic attack and fainting. Right now I'm comfortable with my midwife, and with the clinic where the bloods are going to be taken and think that driving another 20 mins to get to a large hospital would wind me up and worry me even more.

Sorry about the rant....just wanted to get things out. And yes I'm still shaking a bit, and had a few tears. Feel better now.

    - great to see you back (your wit and wisdom is missed):D

I'm sat here with a leg like shrek's  Got bitten this morning/last night, now have 3 HUGE bites that have made my leg and foot double in size  Popped to the chemist and bought some cortisone cream and piriton, and have just phoned DH and asked him to buy a bottle of wine on the way home (medicinal purposes you understand ;) ) I'm having real trouble standing on this leg/foot - and I'm going to look oh so classy on Saturday in my 1940's seamed stockings and peep toe shoes :D Never mind the booze will be cheap, about a quid for a bacardi and coke - so I won't care later on :p

Anyway better [STRIKE]run[/STRIKE] hobble to finish DD's tea, omelette, wedges and beans.

    Catch you later

rchddap1-I totally understand where your coming from with the needle issue:eek: I will only have my bloods done up Kings now as they use a micro needle and is pretty harmless. I am terrible with needles and when in hospital only let one phlob (sp..lol) take my blood and was having it done daily. My community nurse is another person I trust but she is PT so cant guarantee. Hope everything goes ok and try not to worry. Im having an iron infusion in the morning and am panicking all ready:o

    hello everyone

Gosh, isn't it hot! Even here in N.Ireland - we are all stunned!!

I'm really jealous of all those holiday makers out there in the Land of Old Style...Catznine has already jetted off (for the second time in about a month!), and Nelski off to Turkey, and ManicDays off to Cornwall. I know I can't complain as I'm not long back from my vacation in London.

Today was a carp day at w***. I know I am not invisible as I always come out in photographs. However I am convinced that during the hours of 9-5 I must vaporise and be on some upper astral plane or something. Certain members of management behave as if I only exist about half the time I'm there. It's a small thing that happened today...left my desk to go to the loo, and when I returned someone had taken my chair and sat on it for about 15-20 minutes chatting to someone else while I stood there like a big daisy. The someone was a senior manager so I couldn't exactly butt in and tell him I wanted my chair back - but I did make sure he saw me hovering around. He chose to ignore me all the same. Oh I was so cross!! Yes, I know it's v.v.petty but even so being dismissed like that was upsetting. Was getting annoyed an over-reaction? I can't decide, maybe I am too sensitive.

The flip side of today was that I got an informal message from one of my teachers regards my exam results. Seems I've done well enough to get an overall mark in the mid-70's. I am so chuffed - this mark is good enough to get me into my chosen university and onto my chosen course - though this will be in 2007. I am going to relocate to England which will entail selling my house and buying something over there - this is quite daunting but I have a whole year to get that done rather than have to rush and get it done for October this year.

Moggins congratulations on the fabulous news from your hospital appointment. It brought happy tears to my eyes!!

MushyPeas best of luck when you meet up with your ex, best of luck with your house, and best of luck with that meeting at work (which is probably over by now). That's three major things in your life all at once demanding your attention, and maybe more change on the way. I'm sure things will ultimately work out for the best - fingers Xed anyway.

Big hugs to all those needing them, specially the spotty kiddies and those who are having to deal with things they rather do without.
