Feeling a bit depressed today. Depressed, knackered, worried and a touch scared. This pregnancy lark is not fun. These days I long for the weekends where I can relax (unfortunately not this one). I'm thinking too much about the future and that is what is scaring me. We live away from family and so the plan is to go back that way for support for when bean puts in an appearance. But I'm realising how difficult that is going to be. I'm sure it'll all sort it self out. I just scare myself every now and then.

Hi all
Roz welcome! I'm going to post a thread later about a kitchen "starter" kit for my lil sis's birthday - maybe we'll both get some good ideas?
To those who are poorly - I hope you feel better soon, that work doesn't stress you out, you are able to fly eyc.
Yay for freecycle! Getting rid of a couple of items of furniture at the weekend and picking up a new kitchen worktop to replace my minging one. Also passing on some old nappies DS has grown out of. It's such a good idea as stuff you'd have to pay the council to take ends up with a good home instead of in landfill AND you get to aquire stuff you really need for free - everyone wins. True ol' style community spirit. For those who don't know about it the addy is https://www.freecycle.org. Each area has a group.
I intend to join my local credit union when i have some money to save again instead of giving it to a greedy bank as these are also a really good idea.
Planted out my tommys and some salad yesterday in pots so now need to find windowsills for them. Away from my toddler lol! . My herbs are doing well this year so i repotted them into nice galvanised window boxes - look really pretty on the kitchen window sill.
The declutter challenge starts to get serious now as I want to redo my kitchen so I'm gonna do the storecupboard challenge this month with the aim of replacing my kitchen doors at the end of the month without needing to descend into chaos when the cupboard doors come off lol! Today anything out of date has to go!
Brekkie - use up the last of the lidls cereal.
Lunch - salmon, veggies and quinoa
tea - baba gnanoug and homemade herby bread (like houmous but with aubergines)0 -

Have just watched Britains Streets of Debt on BBC1 which was all about how many pensioners are in debt, very sad some off the stories.
OH has just rung to say his van has broken down on way to work:mad: has
got someone to tow him in to work and he hopes to fix it.we could do without another car repair bill as mine had to be repaired a week ago at the cost of £170:eek: and it will be hard to find it all again in the same month.

((((((((((((((((((rchddap1)))))))))))))))))) Thinking of you hun..chin up!!
OH has just gone off to Lidls and Iceland for a few essentials for the fridge and a few other bits.
Did an online survey the other day and they have sent me a free sample of something which we will be having for dinner tonight plus £4 in food vouchers that can be used in loads of places. Have done surveys for them before but have never had to actaully test a product.
The postman also bought me 2 free samples of wash powder and fabric conditioner and 4 £1 vouchers which hopefully can be used in Asda.
Have just put on In Her Shoes, a film about 2 sisters...looks quite good. Hoping to see my own sister on Saturday....gosh I miss her soooo much. Her little boy has a rare brain disorder and she gets so worn out and wish I could do more for her. Shes just 29...its awful isnt it! Its easier when your adults (well sometimes:rolleyes: ) but when its your kids that are suffering, its much more difficult to deal with.
Anyway, Im gonna go watch me film. Will call back in later.

Hi yall,
PHEW what a scorcher! Almost tropical here in the emids:T I've rattled through all my 'hot' jobs early so all the cleaning, ironing, washing is done and I've even stir fired chicken, peppers, onions and mushrooms which are now marinading in the fridge to turn into fahitas tonight. I'm gonna settle to do my paid2clicks now because the study is on the shady corner of the house and it's deliciously cool in here as I type wearing my undies an a winning smile, this part of the house isn't overlooked so I supose I could sit starkers but contrary to popular rumour I do have some dignity LOL!
MIL is doing much better than anyone ever expected and was allowed to drink earlier than the doctors thought she would. I think they may have caught her pouring whisky down her peg feed so they allowed her a cup of tea LOL. She's at home now and doing OK
Miss MATH is out of plaster YAY!
We've had some other good news (for a change) Mrs MATH has got herself enrolled on a Cardmaking and Scrapbooking demonstrators course. We knew the course was free but thought she would have to travel way darn sarff and stay in a hotel for 3-4 nights at our expense but it turns out they will pay for overnight acomodation and they are running a course 15 miles up the motorway from where we live. YAY! I really hope there ares some full-time job opps once she has passed. It would be great for her to have a job which is also a hobby, she is a brilliant crafter and all her skills/qualifications as a training and career developement coach could be utilised too and having to homes to base from she could cover a large area of the country so it could work out really well for us. Dare I hope the tide is turning?(We need a prayer smilie here) LOL
I must go and do my paid2clicks now. I've just had to take a break from typing to sign for a paid2click cheque off the postie so I aint complianing.
Luv 'n' hugs to all who need/want them

Well I'm back from the shops and caught up on here as well. You know, the essentials
:rotfl:
My weekly shop came to £15.22, which included 97p for a pair of headphones for my new MP3 player as I can't be doing with this "hang it around your neck and the headphones are attached to the strap" thing  OH agreed that I didn't look right with it hanging around my neck since I've got a rather large bust and all it did when I walked was bounced about:rotfl:
Just realised that OH might have a problem paying his EGG card tomorrow as it will put him £30 overdrawn  I can see a trip to his bank to pay in money tomorrow if he's had to buy petrol since his last Money update  Still trying to convince him that his overdraft is not there to be used except for in emergencies, and buying 2 tickets to see G4 does not count as an emergency! If I'd known how much they would cost and the fact he would go overdrawn this month because of them I would have MADE him put them on the credit card instead. As it is he's going to be nearly £100 overdrawn when he gets paid  :wall:  I think it's also time he down graded his mobile phone package from £36 a month to the £24 one that might help a little bit.
I think I'd better go get some dinner. My stomach is making silly noises again:rotfl:

Morning All
(((((((HUGS))))))) to all who need them.
Well just Ds stillsick at the moment, had to take him the hospital on the Monday night as he had been refusing water, so was dehydrated and still vomitting. Though hopefully fingers crossed, it will be back to school tomorrow as he has started asking for McDonald's  (has to be a sign that he's mended, lol).
I'm working nights all this week,so having Ds her means that I trying to get by on napping while he does but think thats out of the question today. So house is a tip:eek: . This will be rectified tomorrow as will get a couple of hours after droping kids off in the morning and then clean in the afternoon before leaving for work.
Breakfast: Porriage and mix seeds
Lunch: Will have to see,
Dinner: Chicken salad and baby potatoesGC: £400/ £00 -
Morning all
It's been "one of those mornings" so far. I got up an hour before having to leave the house, which is plenty of time, but housemate was in the shower so decided to have breakfast etc while waiting - then, with only half an hour left, finally got in the shower only to find that it was having an off day and wouldn't recognise anything between boiling hot and freezing cold. Missed my train, the next one was delayed, so was late for w**k. I also have a humdinger of a sore throat this morning - knew it was coming on yesterday - so am on the anaesthetic lozenges (Dequacaine).
Night out with colleagues was fun last night, the show was excellent, and apart from the original cost of the trip (which we paid for quite a while ago) it worked out very cheap (just £3 for the programme)as boss's boss paid for the wine that came with our prepaid 2-course dinner, and after-show drinks were taken care of by my boss and her DH who live in a (very posh) flat in Westminster. Interesting to see that their wine on offer was el cheapo Majestic glugging plonk though - even I have more expensive tastes
- but it did prove that buying from a specialist wine retailer makes a lot of sense, as even the £3-a-bottle stuff is perfectly drinkable.
moggins I like your style
rchddap1 ((((hugs))))
Roz_V welcome :hello: Like in The League of Gentlemen, "You'll Never Leave"
Assuming my throat isn't too bad, I should be off this evening to the little pub theatre I went to on Sunday, to see a show which some of my friends are involved with. I was going to go at the weekend, but have discovered that one of my friends isn't singing in it after today so I want to catch it while he's there. Will be trying to behave myself by staying on the wagon (lovely refreshing lime soda at 50p a glass) and not staying out too late.
Breakfast: toast (HM brown bread) and honey
Lunch: tomato soup
Dinner: asparagus risotto
Have just spent £10 on raffle tickets in aid of children's charities supported by the posh schools my colleague's kids go to. (I have £5 a month put aside for "charity" but as I don't currently make a regular donation, I had £10 in the kitty). Some of the prizes are fab - nights in posh hotels, holidays, theatre tickets, designer shopping vouchers etcso fingers crossed!
See you later

It has come to my attention that a PM message which was in part posted on yesterday's daily thread, has been attributed to me, as the sender.
Just to put the record straight and to end any more speculation ....
... it was not me!
But thank you to the person who PM'd me as it's given me the opportunity to clear things up.
Wishing you all only good things.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
