Race for Life is way too close now. I'm not ready. Still having knightmares after the Half Marathon. But it's all for a good cause. Good luck to anyone else doing Race for Life this year, or well done if you've already done it.

    Good evening folks

rchddap1 - Congrats about your pregnancy. Hope you feel better now.

Another lovely sunny day here. Pity I was stuck inside for most of it! Some of my work colleagues were moaning they were cold today and wanting the heating on  I think they are always cold coz they never eat!

Have put some washing on and had a quick tidy up but off tomorrow so will get everything else done.

Away for a browse as I am looking for a new hairdryer. Mine's keeps cutting out and I am panicking that it will cut out and not start again. Do you think a bad hair day is a valid reason for a sickie? :D;)

    Evening All

Not done much today and this is the first chance Ive had to come on PC as DS had some teeth out at the Dentist this am under anesthetic (sp?) and been looking after him most of the day. Also had to get up early and watch him so that he didnt sneak any food - buts it all done now and over with and he's absolutely fine. He was v funny when he came around afterwards - like a drunk 7 year old! But when I told him some grown ups pay lots of money to feel like that (not me lol) he couldnt beleive it.

Anyway downside is will have lots and lots to do tomm. As the weather is going to be hot will get up early and start the housework so hopefully can get it out of the way by 11am when the house is too hot then will hit the office and do some paperwork.

Have just written menu plan for the next week and done a online tesco shop as really need to get back on the os wagon. Have ordered some more yeast and bread flour so can get back in the habit of making hm bread - the kids will be pleased.

Anyway going to have an early night and watch The Kindness of Strangers in bed - will also tape it as will prob fall asleep half hour before the end just rememberd must take some chicken breasts out of the freezer first!

Hugs to all that need them, and Happy Holidays to Nelski & ManicDays.

    Hi all :hello:

My internet access at home has been rather questionable recently. I typed out a quite lengthy post yesterday, clicked on submit and BANG! Internet connection disappeared. Let us hope that it's ok tonight............

Well, I have some goodish news. I've been given a permanent contract at my school :j :j :j It's amalgamating in January with the infant school next door and my post wasn't going to exist (now it's a little more secure). Luckily, one of the other teachers has found another post so I am able to have her permanent position. It's not the best school in the world, BUT the children are lovely (on the whole ) and a permanent job is better for me than the insecurity of a temporary job. It also means that as I now have a permanent contract, OH and I can begin to think about getting a mortgage and buying our own place! ;) That'll probably be after our own wedding though.

Anyway, OH is dropping unsubtle hints about wanting a cuppa. He bought fish and chips tonight in mild celebration of my permanent contract, so it's only fair if I put the kettle on.

Snowy You are too nice for your own good. I don't blame you for feeling !!!!!! off. He sounds a right pig. You need to get tuff and stand your ground. Mind you, it's hard at the time. Depending on my temperment on the day :D I can do it easily while when I"m in a more laid back mood I would have hovered as well.

VickyA Well done. That's great news.

Skystar Yes I think thats a valid reason. After all it's our crowning glory. :D If I was working atm I would run off to get my hair fixed before venturing forth into work. ;)

Better go and put this load of washing out on the line & do some chores.
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Hello everyone

Just getting the thread started, but not a lot to report at the moment. Hope all is good in Old Style land.

I think I should do a spot of filing or something now that I'm up and awake. As usual I've only had about three or four hours sleep even though I was wrecked yesterday. Some filing might numb my wee brain so that I get a couple more hours kip. Even my kitties have given up on me and just ignore my nocturnal wanderings and stay in their beds.

Bye all, expect I'll pop back later on.

'Morning SnowyOwl, hope you managed to get some more sleep! :hello:

    'Morning everyone :hello:

It's really misty here this morning, but it is already burning off and looks like it will be a hot day again.

W**k as usual here again. I'd much rather be at home. OH and I were saying last night that we have too much OS stuff to do to actually go to work. Unfortunately we have to work to be able to eat, pay the bills etc.

Breakfast: oats, fruit & HM yoghurt with a glass of orange juice
    Lunch: salad with HM cheese
Dinner ... still thinking about that one

Have a lovely OS day everyone!
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
