Just had another phone call from my mum... the not so good news has turned to bad, still not Terrible (and I'm hoping it won't become that!!!! ) but it is now bad. Ebay and school website are out, I just can't concentrate now. I need to do SOMETHING but at the same time I can't cope with doing something:rolleyes: Oh well, back out to hang more washing out.Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0

Oh Nicki, ((((hugs)))), sorry to hear u have bad news.
To stop me feeling so rubbish I'm cleaning the kitchen and then settling down to some hours of mind-numbing telly (last night's Corrie and BB). I'm hoping it will stop me thinking.

Hi All
A morning full of meetings this morning, including another interview with Henry Allingham who is the loveliest man I've ever met
The Mayor gave me some chocolates to bring back for the girls in the office which I thought was very nice
It's way too nice to be at work today. Want to go home and be in the sunshine!!!Comping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hi Yall, another hot 'n' sunny day here in the emids. I hope you are all getting a chance to catch a few rays like wot I did under the pretence of cleaning my downstairs windows.
I though about starting a new thread requesting some suggestions as to what to do with a tea bag, some hot water and a dash of milk I've found lurking in me kitchen but decided to post on the daily thread instead:rotfl: I'll just have to save these hallowed ingredients until I can come up with some inventive uses of my own or maybe even google it:rotfl:
DW repair man came this morning with a replacement part which has been on order since January (it has to come all the way from Germany apparently:rolleyes: ) I did mention I can post to my sis in Houston and it arrive within two days but it fell on stoney ground I'm afraid. LOL
Had a barny at school today on account of the teachers insisting the kidz wear their school jumpers in the play ground to avoid sunburn, they're all lying on the floor suffering from heat stroke but at least they arn't burning:rolleyes: I was dragged over the head teachers carpet because I always 'forget' to send a coat or jumper during the realy hot weather so my three were not able to wear them yesterday. oops The barny last month was over a teacher threatening Miss MATHLETT (with one arm in plaster) that if I didn't pay her swimming money that night she wouldn't be able to go swimming with the rest of the class tomorrow. I'm having quite a few spats at the moment I think it must be this diet I'm on making me tetchy LOL
House tidy, washing/ironing done, windows cleaned, back of neck sunburnt LOL, paid2clicks done, cheque accounts balanced and checked (not difficult when there is nothing in them LOL.
PP all the best today - finkin of ya
TM will you be serving popcorn during the commercials and requesting mobile phones are turned off? LOL - enjoy ya ironing tonight

:rotfl: mobile phones - oh don't get me started! Next door's 13yo turned up last night with a Motorola something-or-other, all slim and shiny and playing lots of loud musicHe kept playing this song over and over and OVER again - apparently it was 'kewl' or 'wicked' or whatever the modern parlance is for for a track that is fab. It was some track he'd just heard and downloaded by...... I'd probably never heard of him cos music isn't my thing really........ well, by somebody called ..... Jimi Hendrix :rotfl: Had to burst his bubble and say that I'd heard that track before he was born ....blah blah....
Kidz!! I'll have all this to come in a few years.......
However, I do have a couple of rows of seats available for the 9pm showing of "House" - bring ya tea bag - I'm sure it can be put to good use.... LOL
BTW - DS2 and his mate.... 30 mins of watching tv then they've spent the rest of the afternoon in the garden with a trowel apiece, digging for treasure! I do have a lovely stone-free area in my front garden, but I shall have to suggest they fill the hole back in soon0 -

Hello all
Isnt it hot?
I put 2 loads of laundry in and out so that I could save the water for the veggies (and of course get the clothes clean).
I now have 4 strawberries in the freezer and there are still some on the plant. We had rhubarb crumble yesterday from plants in our own garden (I feel like Im about 6 years old ,being so pleased). There are about 3 tiny little green tomatoes and one weeny little gooseberry too.
OH has gone to London( he works there) on his BICYCLE this morning  We used to cycle to work together when we lived there (15 miles each way) and since moving down here,he has motorcycled . Can't see him doing that every day as it is a LONG way but i do feel a little bit jealous too.
We bought DS some new shoes on Saturday. He is quite picky and so is OH,so I was amazed when they went into a shoe shop OH suggested and he liked the first pair he tried, they were about 1/3rd of the price of his last pair too.:T
Well Im going to go and have a nice cold drink now and then probably go and admire the veg patch again

Afternoon all
Just a quick flit on here as really need to write two important letters.
Been good this am put my shorts on to do my housework l(legs not ready for public viewing yet) and and managed to thoroughly hoover house (inlcluding above door frames etc) then washed all the floors, my downstairs is all wood or tile and takes a while. Also cleaned all bathrooms. House now looking much more respectable. Have done 4 loads of washing and cooked a chicken curry for the freezer and a lasagne for tonight & the freezer.
Have now got to do some paperwork and write a to do list for tomm, have got some bday pressies and cards to buy so need to pop into town. Am gong to inlaws tomm eve for short (veryshort!) while but as the weather is so nice I want to go to our caravan straight after so need to pack everything in the morning.
Well best go now have a good evening and keep cool.0
