Good morning everyone,
Another dull day here, with clouds threatening rain, i go on holiday and the weather is lovely, come back and it immediatly changes again!!!!! Wouldnt mind as much, but i have so much washing, and my house is looking like a chinese laundry at the moment!!!!
Have to go to the hospital this morning to see my consultant, so hopefully my platelet levels will be ok, as im hoping i wont have to go in again until after the school holidays, ive never gone so long without going in, but last year when they gave me 10 weeks off (ended up being 8 weeks as they booked me in for some platelet scans and had to put me back on the steroids to have enough platelets to trace!!!), they put an SOS on my file, which meant i could go in at anytime i thought necassary, and im hoping that they will do that again this year, as i cant afford to take days off work, or drag 5 - 6 children up to the hospital with me!!!!!
Well, the plan for today is to get all the washing done, and hopefully dried, get the hospital out of the way and make some chicken and veg soup!!!!!
Hope everyone is well, take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning Guys
Sorry, I didnt reply back yesterday, but was a tough day at hospital-still not feeling good and back there this morning:rolleyes:
Anyway, WM is on, DW will be put on shortly. Toilet is cleaned and house is pretty clean and tidy-so cant complain.
Have DD's parent evening on Thursday at her new school. Really getting nervous about it, which is strange for me as Im not really a nervous person. This will be the first time that I have gone to a formal meeting in my wheelchair and some people treat you so differently-its embarrassing!
I best go get ready, and will catch up later.
Breakie: Toast & Marmalade
Lunch: Baked Spud, Ham and salad
Dinner: Roast Chicken, Yorkies, stuffing, roasties, carrots, cabbage & gravy
Hugs to all.

Morning all.
I haven't posted on the daily thread for ages! Lost my way a bit.
Although I have a secured myself a half year Yummy Mummy diary and its great completing it each day. Its amazing that you forget what you did last week!
But it also makes it easier to plan stuff, so I have post-its all over the pages on the days things need doing, lists in the back, a rubber band round the front with shopping lists and my coupons/points envelope! Its great keeping it all in one place.
Have new plans to stop myself spending money too. I am doing it cash now, rather than debit card - its too easy! I'm not going mad (can't afford to!) but I still find myself behind each month by those small little extras that don't hurt (!)
Needed to pick myself back up again and I am starting to feel really organised now!
So, food today is:
Breakie: Toasted Bagel with Philidelphia, Fruit and Juice and Yoghurt
Lunch: Pitta with Feta and Greek Salad, fruit
Dinner: Chicken Curry and Brown Rice (Slow Cooker!)
(Can you tell I am on a diet too!)
And I have bought myself a book on how to start a vegetable patch! Okay - my garden is tiny, but with an asbestos garage that is being taken down, slap, bang in the middle of the garden, will give some extra space for the kids to play - so I am taking some space! Only about 2m x 2m - thats the extent of my patch!
But its too late to start it for this year, so will be getting it ready this autumn.0 -
After a long time reading these threads i thought i would join in this morning.
So morning all.
Todays started off quite sunny but i can see the grey clouds appearing.
Ive already opened up the swimming pool and lifeguarded the early morning session and im still feeling quite awake! WM is ready to got on (when the rest of the house is up).
Got a bit of a strange day today, visiting the Grandparents in Nhants and taking them out for lunch before heading back for staff training this evening at the pool. Have no idea whats for supper you never know a miracle might occur and the boys wil have cooked something for when i get back!
Have a good day all!

Morning All
just back from a long weekend away so lots of catching up to do today
4 books to post from amazon sales ( £50 from that goes into my bank account tomorrow woohoo )
washing to be done - prayiong theres not enough rain to prevent line drying.
peas to be podded and frozen - yesterdays rain made them grow overnight!
no bread in the house so need to bake three loaves and make some kind of dessert with gooseberries from the garden - they havent done that well yet this year.
breakfast - cornflakes
lunch- leftovers ( all the little odds and ends i find in the fridge ) sandwich
dinner - corned beef hash and salad
have also just realized that atop of the wardrobe in my bedroom ( too high fo rme to normally see ) there are approx 50 books which might or might not sell on amazon market place so will be listing them this afternoon time permitting.
got my soapnuts sample yesterrday but there were only three nuts in there - can anyone tell me if that is going to be enough to do a wash?
hope you all have a lovely day
pennypincher - hope all goes well at the hospital

Morning all :hello:
:grouphug: to all as brain is still frazzled. Would you believe I've just read this post through but still can't remember anything that I thought about using in a replyEven worse is this is after 2 cup of STRONG coffee due to very little sleep last night (OH and I talking, honestly!!!)
Need to sit and talk a few things through properly tonight as last night I was the one who kept drifting off to sleep for a change but when I started to wake up enough to talk OH fell asleep...typical :rotfl:
DD is having a really hard time dealing with my Nannas death and I have no idea what to do. I've tried talking to her, tried telling her to tell everything to "my magic teddy" (a teddy I've had since I was about 8 and now passed on to her), tried getting her to "talk" to my nanna but shes still crying at every little thingLast night she asked me for a photo of Nanna so she could talk to her, it took some doing as the majority of our photos are on the computer but I found one, printed it out and this morning DD said she felt a little bit better after "talking to Nanna" but then she was no different, crying at the slightest thing. I suspect some of it could be tiredness as she insists on getting up at 7am (if not before) even at the weekends
But my brain hurts too much today to contemplate too much on what I could do.
Anyway, moving on... bathroom is swished, beds are airing (and I'll let them air all day today and Thursday/Saturday as well) , bathroom/bedrooms have been aired (much to the annoyance of DD who kept complaining that the bathroom was too cold with the windows open  ). Bedrooms are also "mummy tidy", livingroom has been picked up save the laundry and paperworkShould really get on and get them sorted.
No ideas at all today about meals. Can't even think straight. Going to go and find something to kick start my brainLaters
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Woohoo it's moving day!!! :j :j
Again not a lot to do (I'm leaving it to the big muscly men that we've hired in for £30 to move all our stuff!!) so am sat here *ahem* admiring the viewwith a cuppa
Rain has stopped so it's cool enough to move without everything getting sopping wet
I've only nipped on here for two seconds to offer a teeny bit of advice for AussieLass - the Argentinians, the Italians, the Portugese or the Spanish are my nominations for the hottest bods, but don't you go supporting those Portugese too heartily as i fear that they may be exiting the competition very soonThe Argentinians will probably be in it until the end so for long-lasting totty go for them, for quality, I think its the Italians...*
Have a good day!!

Morning all......(((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))0 to those who need them.
It is raining here too, and I have a washer full of coloureds to go out....oh well....... parcel I am waiting for did not arrive, nor did the phone call about the flat, we stayed in all day when we really could have been out doing other things, if the warden cannot be bothered to ring prospective residents how is the place run I ask myself????????? and they expect us to take the tenancy from 3rd July..... I do not think so..........
Bedroom cleaning this morning and huge Tesco shop this afternoon...... its that time of the month again when the cupboards and freezer are almost bare and we need stocking up, hoping it will not be such an expensive month as last month I spent £86 on the shop alone, not counting what I needed for fruit and veg, I usually allow £20 for that and £20 for fuel for the car which leaves me £60 for groceries etc...... I usually manage on that...... I still have some sausage and two salmon fillets left in the freezer, two lots of bol sauce and a serving of liver.......so have amalgamted that into this July's menus.
We are thinking of taking the trip to Paris we had to cancel earlier this year, we had planned on a week in Cornwall but the cash might just stretch to 3 days in Paris travelling by train, looking at the options just now....... it will depend largely on what the hopital have to say when I go next month.
Right off to start my jobs.................
