    Hi everyone!
Have had a very productive weekend again but am glad to be back at work for a rest. I tend to go a bit OS crazy at the weekend and pack it all in!! Anyway now have some HM strawberry jam although OH thinks we may have boiled it a little too long...I swear if you rolled it into a ball it would be fine to play tennis with at Wimbledon this week!! However tastes good.
Spent yesterday sorting out the garden. Usually we try to do the whole lot in one go and I get in real grump [gardening's not my fave...I only like the garden centre bit where I get to pick out the plants I'm going to kill off!!]. Had to go easy on the plant buying bit...gone are the days when I could just stick whatever I fancied in but I did choose plants that are supposedly indestructable and "should" survive in the garden. Also got some reduced priced marigolds, special offer verbenas and a half priced geum. Aswell as an £8 RHS Wisley job.... aah but it is lovely and it shut the material girl up again!:D Garden now looks rather lovely now though I say it myself and we were very good and filled the pots with HM compost having first lined them with empty compost bags. All watering is either from water butt, grey water or water we've saved whilst waiting for the hot water to come through. Thoroughly enjoyed admiring our handiwork whilst supping an ale last night.
Today is not that exciting. Got a big pile of ironing to work through but OH is making Toad in the Hole for tea...:j
Well done Lillibet on making what for any Mother is a difficult decision and I hope it turns out well for you. When my son was little I used to work 2 Sundays a month. I also made sure I kept up with my craft hobbies in the evening so give me some much needed me time.;)

    Afternoon all :hello:

Briefly scanned the thread but brain is frazzled ATM so :grouphug: to all :o

I've spent today either on the phone or on the internet sorting things out. Finally, after 2 years of living here, my to-do file is empty :o Okay, I'm doing a household notebook (see that thread) which I keep in a seperate "need to do" file and I've still got bank/credit card statements to sort, but my "i really don't want to do it so just shove it in that file" file is empty :p:j

Going to set to on working out Tax credits now. Nice lady with a lovely scottish accent has done her best for me this morning when I phoned up, but we'll have to see what happens when I ring back on Wednesday..okay Thursday since it's them :rotfl:

Must get on with things. Later

    Back again!

The morning in the garden turned into a disaster as OH was rolling up the hose he twisted and did his back in:eek: and is now having to spend the rest of the day lying on his back. He's had this several times before and has dosed himself on painkillers.:( the only good point is that we cut a good bit of hedge before he hurt his back.
This was to be a week off together doing the garden, fishing etc but don't know that we will be able to do anything now:(

We did have fun listening to the Jeremy Vine show on radio 2 about lack of sex drive!:o made us laugh!:rotfl:

Am off to see Mum soon as she's back from a weekend in Cornwall visiting her family.

    Back in a bit!
    Do what you love :happyhear

    Hi Everyone

I had a really busy weekend. Went out Saturday night with my friend and we've come to the conclusion we're too old to be out then - we're only 22 and 25!! But the rest of the world seems to be 16. We did get ID'd though which cheered us up! And we got a good deal in a fast food place thanks to some flirting:D

Then we went strawberry picking yesterday - got strawbs, peas, spinach and gooseberries. We followed that with an exciting trip to Tesco! I managed to cut her spending down by half a trolley and introduced her to the land of owning a club card. She can be taught!!!!

Got heat stroke on Saturday where I went to the tennis - free of course! - in Eastbourne for the finals. Really bad headache for the rest of the day. Serves me right!!!

    Hope everyone's ok
Hey!! Where did you go? Know what you mean about everyone being 16!! Crazy isn't it!!! We should have our own mini OS meet!!! :D

    Afternoon all :hello:

Ancasta - love the wedding site and your venue! I was going to do a wedding site for us, but I've never got round to it. As the wedding is now just less than 5 weeks away (29th July :j :j) then there's no real point in doing one. By the way, you will share an anniversary day with my bestmate/Chief Bridesmaid who will have been married for 4 years on 19th October!

Lillibet - congratulations on making the right decision for you. I've followed your thread on the Marriages etc board with great interest.

Rzl - I hope that your week off is going well and you're doing plenty of relaxing.

We've had a "training day" at school today. It's been quite useful and very productive, which seems to be quite rare for us! However, I'm now back at home with a pile of books in front of me begging to be marked! It'll have to be done tonight as the little dears will need the books for tomorrow.....

Plus, I'm going out for supper with my parents tomorrow night. We're going to the pub that is doing the catering for our wedding (they have an outside catering bit) and I can't remember why we're going, but it was for some specific reason. No doubt I'll find out once I get there tomorrow. That means that I'll have to leave work on time, which means that I need to be organised today as opposed to my normal "never"!

We're having veggie sauce (HM) with pasta tonight. I knew that I wouldn't be bothered to make anything too exciting tonight, so it came right out of the freezer! :)

Actually I've been running round like a mad thing :o The place doesn't look any tidier but I've filed ALL my paperwork (well, I say all. I've lived here for 4 years and I just know that all the stuff from before I moved in is still in a heap in a box in the loft!)

I did also start sorting out clothes and have identified a few likely candidates to be put on ebay.

Off out in 45 mins, just need to check the train times...

    Rzl xx

Yep. Just along from the TA centre!! It's my friend's local, so we go there quite often. Maxim's is the only "over 21" club, but it's shut!!! My other mate DJ's there, so used to get in free:D

Thought i would do yet another flying visit.

I've really enjoyed the thread today. Some lovely things going on for some of you.

ancasta - wow - loved the website. I wish i'd done something similar for our wedding. We were married 22nd of OCtober last year and had a beautiful day. The venue looks amazing, and well done you - that is an amazing weight loss. I struggled to lose 1 stone, and then put it back on soon after. Also, i'll be expecting that you will be pregnant fairly soon. our baby is due at the end of October, and our cousin who married 2 months before us is expecting one any time. Like you say, once your married, why not.

PP - hope you manage some time away from the hospital. It sounds a good idea to have a wireless connection. I'm sure i'd use one if i were at hospital doing all that waiting.

Nuttyrockeress - well done too on the weight loss. A stone does take some work.

Moggins - glad your DD is feeling a lot better

Lillibet i bet you are really pleased now you have made that decision. I want to work as little as possible once baby pud is here, so if you get any good tips, pass em on.

BRZL don't burn out this week. Make sure you have a bit of rest time too. It's great to be at home isn't it.

Well, my dust has finally settled from the DIY. Only problem is DH broke the hoover, so i'm waiting for him to get in and sort that out. Thanks for the tip Zed - although i read it too late for this stage of the work, i will keep it in mind for when we start stage two. :o

We are on a rare night out tonight, so i am trying to do some marking of year seven exam papers before we go. Does it never end? Vicky - bet you know what i mean.

I'm celebrating good news. Our year nines did quite well on the SATs. 65% got level 5 or higher. Our target is 66% and we normally get another percent or two from appeals. So that will hopefully get OFSTED off our backs. Wish me luck. At least my department have done their bit. Although i have just added another job to my list as i will be remarking the papers. ;) Nothing is putting me off though today.

Have a lovely evening everyone. Joannasmum and TM - good luck sorting out the little ones with their bed routines tonight. Hope you get a night off.

    Michelle, xx
