Pooky, Ive lost around the 5 stone mark now which im mega chuffed at, the wedding dress just hangs off me, that is £60 alteration fee I am VERY happy to be spending! I’d like to lose maybe another stone or two between now and October.

The wedding is October 19th, pictures and stuff are here : http://katie-paul-wedding.piczo.com

Gotta chase my solicitor up today about my whiplash claim (the money would make great spending money for the honeymoon)

Waiting to hear back from Barclays about claiming back bank charges and I MUST tidy the living room up as its an utter pigsty, the remains of wedding planning are scattered all over along with the failed attempts at making my own pull bows *stupid google instructions*

No word on the new house either, they haven’t started on the founds as yet but they are levelling the ground and putting in the utilities pipes and what not. Cant wait. Squeeeeeeeee *excited*

Breakfast : Weight Watchers peanut bar & frothy coffee from vending machine @ work
Lunch : Something light sandwich/salad box
Tea : Oven Roasted fish with veg (it was a bogof in asda, I think its Youngs brand or something) but im looking forwards too it as I don’t eat fish but im trying to learn to like it!

Boy have I missed OS MSE but my feet haven’t touched the ground in ages and all I seem to be doing is spend spend spend. Im not going over budget and im not skinting myself so its not too bad. I guess everyone has those kinds of times.

On a side note, OH is getting more and more tuned to the idea of having mini-me’s. He’s even discussed how he wants the “nursery” to look in the new house! I guess once the wedding and stuff is out the way and we are settled in the new house there will be no stopping us. I might just have to start re-reading my OS baby thread.

Im interested in supplementing my income for the next couple of months as I have had to cease trading on my own business as I simply don’t have enough time to do hair extensions and make overs due to wedding planning. A job that I could do from home using the pc would be great as I am at home online every night sorting stuff and researching stuff… I just need to find something that isnt a scam.

    Ideas anyone?

PHEW that was a big one… ooo – er

    Hi everyone

I haven't been around much recently, had a few issues to sort out but thought I would pop in & let you know that I am still around & have made a BIG decision.....I am not going back to work next month when my maternity leave is up! I am going to be a full time Mum for a while longer. Financially it will be hard as we will be going backwards by £250 a month but we have a slush fund to cover this shortfall for at least another year & probably longer if no big expenses crop up.

Now I just have to work on my perfect hosuewife rountine........I will need you guys big time to help me with this:D:o:rotfl::A

Well done on making the decision...I'm sure you won't regret it one bit. :T

Congratulations on your decision Lillibet. I had the same crisis when my leave finished, but my daughter is 3 now and it was the best decision I made to be a SAHM. I eventually found some work that fitted around everyone and still get to be home with her everyday.

    You'll love it.

Now if only i could get myself off the pc and into some housework:o :rotfl:

Taplady - of course it isn't too late, people are still "flying" now :)

TM, I can't really quote what was said in the book as that would be plaigirism but the gist of it was that our grandmothers actually had more than we have to do because they had none of the labour saving gadgets that we have now so things took a lot longer. That by using our gadgets as logically as possible and making a routine that we would actually gain more free time instead of less.

It may not work for everybody, not everybody wanted or needed to join in the FL challenge but it will be very interesting to find out if it works or not :D

Lillibet - well done on making your decision. I've been a SAHM for 5 years now and I have never regretted it, you'll find the time to make many more money saving changes now so you may even find you save that £250 you'll be losing. Have you factored in everything, like lunches, travel, work clothes etc? all the things that you will no longer have to pay out for?
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Morning all (((((((((((HUGS)))))) to those who need them.

Not a good night.... OH woke me around 2.30 wriggling and snoring, gave up at 4.30 put on the light and made tea, he promptly turned on his side and stopped snoring!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went down for brekkie then came back to bed for an hour, but could not sleep so have got showered and dressed. We are waiting for a phone call to go and view the flat and also the postman with the ice cream maker I won on e bay last week. I made another lot of yoghurt on Saturday night......... kept back enough whey to make another ring of scone and used the rest to water the plants as suggested bo someone on this board.

Have a couple of jobs to do and its bedroom day, so just about to have a go round with the duster and vacuum, changed the sheets on Saturday, so any dust from that should have well and truely settled. Have a load of washing to go out on the line and a load of delicates to go in.

Not raining here yet but its a bit black, not sure if it rained in the night, the garage roof seems to be wet so maybe it did, does not seem to have made much difference to the garden.

    Have a good day..........................

    Hi there Ausielass.

Any kind of pizza dough with yeast in (the HM recipe would do) and deep fry in oil till they puff up and go golden.

    Hope this helps

So do you then cut them open (once brown) and stuff them with cheese & ham or whatever? About dessertspoon size to throw them in the oil. I make the HM pizza dough already from the recipe section & it's lovely.

I can see me not fitting into my shorts this summer. :D
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning :D

Had a nice late lie in due to being off work this week. Was woken eventually by housemate phoning me to say that he was coming home from work (he currently temps 3 days a week alongside running his record shop 2 days a week) because their IT system was down, and he wanted to warn me so as not to make me jump out of my skin when I heard somebody unexpectedly opening the front door :)

Will be in a whirlwind of housework today. I have today and tomorrow really, but I need to plan the various tasks around the facts that tomorrow morning the binmen and recycled paper people are coming, and we've got a charity shop sack due to be collected on Wednesday.

ancasta - welcome back and congrats on the continuing weight loss! Is the photo on your wedding website you as you are now after having lost 5 stone? Ooooooh, Otterburn is sooooo lovely. My aunt and uncle have a cottage up there - they often take my 89 year old sick grandmother up there to give her a lovely rest from her care home in Houghton.

Lillibet - I have to say I KNEW you'd decide not to go back. I'm sure it will be the right decision for you! You did say when you were trying to decide, that one of the "cons" was being taken for granted by DH. Perhaps you could do a bit of work from home (and before you say anything, yes I know motherhood is a full time job as it is) so you have "something better to do" when you need an excuse not to be taken for granted ;) My mum used to do Usborne book parties and stalls in homes, schools, nurseries, local fairs etc from when my brother was about 2, then returned to work after he'd started school.

moggins - I'm so pleased that DD is much better.

catowen - woohoo! Glad you had a nice holiday. Did you manage to find a way to get your kids onto the rides you weren't able to go on because of your medical condition?

PP - just had a thought :D As I am off work this week and not going away until Wednesday, I could pop in tomorrow if you want :D:D - PM/text me if you fancy it! I hope your hospital appointments today are going well ((hugs))

Anyway I am just sitting here wasting time :D and while that's all very well when I'm at w**k ;) I am wasting valuable "getting things done time"! Breakfast marmalade on wholemeal toast, lunch asparagus risotto, dinner yellow-stickered pizza (am going out this evening).

    Rzl xx
