Had Sainsburys taste the difference pork and red pepper sausages for dinner. They were yummy. First time trying them as I don't shop in Sainsburys often mainly coz there are not that many near me but mmmm mmmmm they would defo be back on the shopping list.

    Hello everyone,

Well, finally sat down after a very busy day, 2 little ones didnt have a sleep, so the normal hour i get to rest and tackle a load of things i cant do when they are around didnt get done!!!! Never mind, all done now tho. Also went to a friends for dinner, and had lovely roast chicken (loads of veg, really need it after all the burgers and chips on our holiday!!!) and then bread and butter pudding with strawberries and extra thick double cream!!! YUM!!!!

Well, our holiday was wonderful, mind you, the first 2 days we had to suffer tropical storm Alberto!!!! We had 2 days of rain and thunderstorms, but on one of the days, we went to Universal studios, and wow, it was the right day to go!!!! There were no queues, we were basically able to walk onto each ride/show that we wanted to go on, and although it wasnt pleasant having to walk around in the rain, we were able to do both parks (Universal and next doors Islands of Adventure) in one day, freeing up another day to do Disney!!!! I also saw loads of Dora the Explorer stuff in one of the shops, so was able to pick some up for the childminding children to play with!!! (Shez, did get a photo taken next to a big picture of Dora, but i look like a drowned rat in it, so prob wont be sharing it!!!)
On the Wednesday, we went to Discovery Cove, for our dolphin swim and it really was a highlight of our holiday. Although the dolphin part was only 30 minutes of the whole day, it was a lovely experience, actually touching and interacting with a dolphin. We also got to snorkle with sting rays and lots of fish, which was amazing, as well as an avairy, filled with exotic birds. The whole day was expensive to get into, but while we were there, breakfast and lunch were free (the lunch was delicious, and you could eat all you wanted) as well as getting to keep your snorkle mask. All snacks and drinks were free (and unlimited) and they gave you sun screen to use. My children both said it was the best bit of their holiday, and we have some lovely memories, so definatly worth the price.
Sea World was also very good, the Shamu show was lovely, as well as a show with people birds and dolphins. We were able to feed dolphins and sting rays there which was another special experience, and they had polar bears, penguins, manatees, sharks and aligators, as well as other animals so lovely for the children to see. Im glad we did it, but not sure i would go back if we ever go back to Florida as it was another expensive thing to do, and i would love to do some of the other things in that area, as the children would be older (would love to go to the space centre, or Tampa bay)
Disney, of course, was magical. We love all the theme parks, there is so much to do, you just cannot get bored. We also had time to visit both water parks, DS is the brave one among us tho, and went on all the water slides, including the big vertical drops!!!!
Obviously, my ITP meant that i had to be careful what i went on, but i was able to go on most of the rides with the children, there were only a few that i missed (the tower of terror, which has sudden vertical drops, and some of the roller coasters that went upside down) and unfortunatly the children missed out on those as well, but they didnt mind. I did go on space mountain ( a dark, fast, twisting roller coaster) but felt quite 'bumped' around so didnt want to risk it again, however they did let the children go on without me, so that was good for them. I have a hospital appointment with my consultant tomorrow, to check how im doing, and also show that im back safely!!!
Edinburghlass - wasnt brave enough to find the bus outside the carpark, but hired a Mears shuttle the days we went to Universal and Sea World ($25 or 3 of us both ways) and we got a taxi to Discovery Cove ($25 each way) as i wanted to make sure that we got there on time. On the way home from Sea World, i saw exactly where the i trolley stop was, so if i was to go again, i would have more confidence in knowing where the bus would be going!!!!
We really did have a magical holiday, the children had the time of their lives, and we all thought the time went too quickly, so we are going to start saving again, and hopefully go again in another few years, we enjoy it so much, so another 3 years of scrimping and saving, but so worth it!!!!

Hopefully, i will get to catch up on what everybody has been up to soon, and i hope that everyone is well. im off to read some of these new threads, the fly lady one of Moggins is calling me!!!!
Oh and good decision Lillibet, those early years will never come back, it will be worth the sacrifice of your wage check!!!!!

    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Evening everyone!

Anacasta - Love your website, what a beautiful dress!

Catowen - Glad you had a great holiday, how did you get on at Discovery Cove? We can't wait to go back and I am saving up all our small change into a savings account just to pay for us all to go to DC again! The shopping is incredible isn't it? did you venture into a dollar store? amazing bargains in there - while we were out there dollar was worth 57p so even better than poundland. :j

Moggins - So glad you're dd is feeling better, it is such a worry when they are ill. I am still working on my home folder to organise myself.

Lillibet - So glad you have made your decision, bet it feels like a weight has been taken off your shoulders! I am so glad that I stayed at home with my little ones when they were tiny, to be honest they were such a handful and I was so exhausted that I would never have coped with a job as well. You will find when you are ready that there are plenty of part time jobs around that will fit in around your family if you wish.

Well all the builders/electricians have gone now and we have the conservatory to ourselves until they come back to lay the tiled floor. It is so relaxing listening to the rain on the roof but being cosy inside. The cat is not happy with us though as she now has a couple more doors to navigate before she gets in and out!

I am just reading an old (pre war) book on how to keep a home ol style! Very amusing!

    Catz x

    Good morning,

    36_1_4.gif18_10_6.gif15_4_125.gif:D

Cat Your holiday sounded fantastic. :T

The dogs next door have been barking since 4am. Do you think the owners would know it's me if I syringe some poision in a cube of meat and throw it over their fence they would suspect me? :D

DH arrived home around 5.30am and of couse was snoring the minute his head hit the pillow. I have to start on all the tax stuff today. Joy oh Joy. Our financial year finishes 30th June & I have to finalise the year for our accountant & get our tax returns sent out for our past employee's etc. I usually have it sorted by now but have been a bit slack.

    Sleep well. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
