Bought a keep fit video for 50p this morning listed it and it sold within an hour for 19.99.
There were no others listed and I couldnt see that anyone was waiting(although I do not know what this looks like as I have never seen it).
Its called cardio bounce if you have it stashed away at the back of your video storage cabinets.
Quite a few school summer fayres on around here tomorrow,I like those as stuff is so cheap, some of these charity shops are getting really expensive nowadays.
Heres to a busy weekend all.0 -
Here is my whinge. It is only thinly related to Amazon but wanted an audience of people i know. We signed an tenancy agreement for a property with a garage (Attached to the house) that i was going to use for the expansion of my Amazon empire. We were to move in on the 1st July. EA has just seen the landlord and he is in the process of turning the garage into a studio flat to rent separately. Which defeats the purpose of moving there!

Hi Kaminari, how annoying, not sure who EA is but if the landlord is turning the garage into a studio flat and you signed a tnenacy agreement which included the garage in its terms surely the landlord is in breach of the tenancy at the very least? Might be worth checking out tho you probably wouldn't want to start looking for somewhere else at this late stage?
Also if your rent was set to include the garage you could ask for a reduction and maybe use it to rent a lockup? I know you can do that in some areas - depends where you live. Might be worth asking around or advertising in a free paper for one???
Good luck

Thanks Teapot, The house was not in the best condition, it only won us over due to the space and the garage. It has been on the market for more than 6 months. It is close to the centre of London so garages are at a premium for the area. Our back up property is still on the market. It is cheaper, in much better condition and in a better area short walk to the river in Putney. The big downfall is that it doesn't have the space for me to build the Amazon empire. I will just have to hire storage space! Part of me feels that when the landlord finds out that we wont rent the place without the garage he might go back on his plans. the place has been empty for so long that he might not risk it. We'll see how it goes over the weekend.0

Anyone got some advice? I sold a romance novel for £0.01p to someone in the US. She's therefore paid £0.01 for the book and £6 for postage! Should I email her and bring this to her attention or just send it and hope she doesn't try to return it later on? I mean, romance novels are all the same; surely she could buy one locally for a fraction of that?!? What should I do?'Everyone loves to read but it can be a real nuisance when you lose your place. Here's a solution. When you finish reading a page, just tear it out. You'll save money on bookmarks too!' -- Amanda's Handy Hints, Amanda Keller. :cool:0

No I wouldn't email her, she will have known the price before she bought it so surely it's her problem. Maybe she can't get this book there?2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0 -

Grim, she would have been aware of the postage cost when she confirmed sale. I wouldn't worry too much about it.0

It's been a mixture of triumph and disaster on this thread today - well done for those that... errrr.... did well and hard luck for those with problems.
PIP report
a few days ago I said that I'd use the 'shape sorter' frame thingy that the Post Office will be using in August, they say that it's wide enough for DVDs, well, yes and no.
It's wide enough if it's just a DVD in a thin jiffy or wrapped in bubble and brown paper (I tried them both for the sake of this experiment) but the problem came with the 'document enclosed' label. I fold the packing slip into 3 lengthwise so that the address is just showing then fold it in half to fit in the plastic holder, when this is stuck on the parcel it won't go through the slot - unless you shove it through which they won't accept, it has to 'pass freely' through the slot. So I'm going to have to have a re-think about how I label them, I like the 'docs enc labels, they look really smart and if I just put the nvoice inside the jiffy it's a bit pointless having a 'docs enc' with just an address in so it looks like it's back to cutting the address off and stickiing it to the package.0 -
I listed an unopened toy a couple of weeks ago, as a "New" item. There was a buyer waiting. I priced mine at just under the lowest price. When I checked yesterday, the buyer was still waiting, and I realised there did not seem to be an option for a buyer waiting on a new item, so I changed my item to "Used, as new" and dropped the price. The "Buyer waiting " sign disappeared .
How do I know if there is really a buyer waitng or not?0
