I've just had a Mills and Boons sell for a whopping 99p!!! It was from the historical titles. Its going to the Stock Section of a London library.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

Since my last post on Sunday, when I only had 4 books listed and had my first sale, so I was very excited being only a newbie. I have now listed a total of 8 books now, (big deal!) it's nigh on impossible to get anything done with two toddlers to deal with. Well, even so I've actually sold a further two books......I can't believe this.......you're so right about this being addictive.
The kids have been put to bed early, so let the listing commence!!!0 -
Thanks a lot, must remember to have a look out for this author when I next go to a car boot!!

Same here, I have DS who is almost 3 and DD who is 17mths. Amazon is so quick to list though so its far easier than eBay. Everytime I try to take a pic for eBay I end up with a picture with little hands in it.
Good luck.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -

The item in question is http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000053R3B/202-9092030-7660623
This is the email I just got back:-
"this item is supposed to be a CD not cassettesif it is cassettesthen please acceptmy appologies and resell them if they are CDs the please let me know and i will send payment forthwith"
I never anywhere said it was a CD & it's clearly listed under cassette - isn't it?
Guess I'll have to relist it now!
Yvonne - thanks for posting this, didn't realise the Now Thats What I Call... series could possibly be worth money... will have to get listing!! Didn't think any of my CDs would be worth anything, now I know better!
AT - well done on your auction purchase - were there many bidding for them? Happy sorting!!AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0024 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the Ebay and other auctions, Car Boot and Jumble Sales Board0 -
Glad to see some of you are getting plenty of sales and I think AT will have her hands full sending out books soon!!
I think Amazon have switched my account off again - no sales for 8 days - BOO HOO.
Sales seem very irratic at the moment - before this lull I was back to my average of 4 a week for a couple of weeks, but that was after a very quiet patch too.
Oh well hopefully I will have a bite soon, got my girls scout camp to pay for!AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0033 come and join us :j make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board0 -
YvonneCrossland wrote:Sadly you do have to give the refund inc original postage paid but you don't have to pay postage for them to return it to you. Make sure you ask them to send it back via a trackable source though (Recorded or Special).
With Amazon you are obliged to refund any item regardless of why the buyer doesn't want it - providing they return it within 7 days of receipt.
I have been looking through Amazon's T&C and their refund/return policy as I received back the LeapPad book that I sold the other day. Buyer didn't contact me, just sent it back with a quite snotty (I thought) note, saying it wasn't suitable for a 6 year old and asking me to swap it for something eductional or a story (no please in there). I think someone bought it as a present, as the name on the delivery address was different to the buyer name.
This is what I found
Returns- If you receive an item different to what was described, or that is clearly in worse condition than indicated, please contact your seller and tell them what the problem is. You should be able to reach an amicable agreement with one another. If necessary, you can return the item to the seller for a refund. They will provide you with a return address.

I think it is linked to the Distance Selling Regulations why we have to give refunds - I recently had one for a book I sent to America - I had made about £1 profit after postage, but after the refund (because they hadn't read the description and it wasn't what they wanted after all) I lost about £7 in postage.

From Amazon:
"The amount provided by default in the refund field is the correct amount when providing a full refund. This is the amount that the buyer originally paid for the transaction. Remember that Amazon.co.uk Marketplace purchases should only be refunded in full. Full refunds should be given for returns, cancellations and out-of-stock items. Partial refunds should only be performed as a goodwill gesture or for compensation/dispute resolution issues (for example, the item arrived slightly damaged or there were minor discrepancies in the product description) and are made at the discretion of the seller. Where a partial refund is made, we will debit your account for the amount refunded and credit you with the related ratable portion of the closing fee plus associated VAT (if applicable)."AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0077 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the ebay and other auctions, car boot and jumble sales board.0 -
kev - my bid was £38, unfortunately I was bidding against someone I knew slightly - we were sitting next to each other! no eye contact while we fought it out, it was quite uncomfortable really.
She asked to buy 2 of the books that she'd particularly wanted so I'll take them to the next sale, so you could say that I'd sold £3 worth before I'd even left the room.
I've listed 8 so far and the total selling prices adds up to £100 already - I know that it's doesn't mean anything until they sell but one is up for £57 so that was very nice, particulary since I didn't see it in the box first - admitedly there are lots of novels that are likely to be cheapos but I've got off to a good start.
My estimate of 1/4 to bin straight off and 1/4 to give away seems to be holding up but I've still got to list and store around 200 :eek:0
