  • Just had a reply back from my Pending Payment.

The item in question is http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000053R3B/202-9092030-7660623

This is the email I just got back:-

"this item is supposed to be a CD not cassettesif it is cassettesthen please acceptmy appologies and resell them if they are CDs the please let me know and i will send payment forthwith"

I never anywhere said it was a CD & it's clearly listed under cassette - isn't it?

Guess I'll have to relist it now!

    Hi all,

A few days ago, I sold a DVD box-set. Today, I received an Email from the customer requesting to return the item and get a refund. This is because he has "realised that he already has a copy".

Am I obliged to give a refund? If not, would you accept the return and give a refund?

    Thanks,

    PPJ

    Hi all

Just after a bit of advice really. I have recently started selling my books on Amazon and my mum and great uncle also gave me some books to sell for them. A lot of books are on for 1p so have decided to give anything under a quid to charity. However, one of my great uncles books called Kizilkar isbn number 0450056929 is on Amazon at a minimum of £75.00. I really don't know how much to put it on for and am a little confused. I would say the book was in acceptable condition to be fair although in perfect reading condition. Is this book really worth this much? It is only a paperback copy. I really want to sell it as I have loads to get rid of now and they are getting in the way but not sure what to put it on at. Obviously the money after costs will go to my uncle so I want to get as much for it as possible - any ideas the amazon pro's out there?

    Thanks in advance

I'd check previous sales on Ebay and if it doesnt come up then just sell it for what you would accept for it! Just cos it is listed at £75 doesnt mean it is worth anywhere near it! I check one of my DD's Paddington bear books, it is modern, and is listed on Amazon for (wait for it) £143! I chucked mine on for £1.99 and it has still been there for a couple of weeks now.

But that doesnt mean it's worthless. I lsited a book for £25 that was listed at £70, this sold within hours. Could I have got more? Maybe, but I was quite happy with what I got!
  • I bought them.....:o :o  :j :j :rotfl: :rotfl:

I won't be picking them up till tomorrow so I'll know then just quite how barmy I've been....

I haven't looked up the ISBN but is it a G R Elford book? If so they were banned, thats why they are valuable. Remember the age of the book when you type the description. The book is likely to be over £20 so one in good condition will be faded etc with age. I sold one for £23 which had several pages missing.

Banned!!!! Gosh that is a bit scarey - am I allowed to sell it then? Yes it is George Robert Elford. There are two on e-bay so I think I will wait and see what they sell for first.

    Thanks for your advice.
