I would go fort it but MAKE SURE you set yourself a limit before hand, as previously suggested, nothing more than 5p per book (I would look for 3p P/B preferably). I'm gonna have to visit my local auction now!
  • I am on a roll today. Not only have I sold a book on Green Metropolis (was beginning to feel it was a myth that books sell from there) but I've had a pending email shortly followed by the sale going through!

Go for it AT! I would!

My good news for today is that we have just had an offer accepted on a rental property that has a garage. A whole garage for books! I'm so happy about it. I can expand from just a few boxes of books in the corner.

AT - you definitely have to go for it!!! You will find somewhere to put them... otherwise you may end up thinking about missed opportunity/profit... but as everyone says, set yourself a limit and stick to it! Good luck!!

I would love to go to an auction, never got round to it yet, but not sure I could trust myself... would have to take hubby with me, he is as tight as anything, so would stop me spending any money!!

That's not too far from the truth!

While he's at uni his room gets used for my stock, so when he's home all the stuff that's normally in his room has to go somewhere so it's gets squashed under the stairs - which is already pretty full of household stuff in any case, then I can't get to any book that's sold!

I have a shed (yes, it's really mine, not OHs) but that is full of ebay and antique fair stuff including the display stands, lights, extension cables and trolleys to carry stuff in and out of the venue.

Our daughter is going to uni this year so she has a pretty good idea of what will happen to her room too - I think that it's a physics thing, I'm sure that there's a mathematical formula about stuff expanding to fit the available space....
