For the thicker/heavier paperbacks you can add additional postage - when you list you get a choice of how much extra you would like to add. That's why some listings show as 'free delivery' and others don't. If you click on the details you can see how much additional postage the seller is charging.
Thanks funky monkey I didn't realise that. So all those p/backs that I passed up for 5p I should have bought - oh well off to a fete on saturday which always has a good book stall so I'm armed with my lists and I'll be on the look out.

    But what is this? Großbritannien?
Great Britain in German, AFAIK. (Whenever you see the letter ß, it's German and stands for 'ss'. Don't think they use it much these days, though. )

(Did German at school, but that was a long time ago :p )

So it's question night for me. Here's another - has anyone bought any of those bulk boxes/pallets of books being offered on Ebay???? If so are they any good?? are they value for money?? I remeber one post on here somewhere from a guy who talked about taking delivery of a pallet of books. Has anyone had any experience of these books??
    Your comments would be appreciated.

I very nearly listed all my penny books as a 'job lot' on Ebay just to get rid of them and there has been the odd comment or two on the Amazon discussion board that it is a good way to get rid of penny books. So, although I have no experience - watch out for Amazon sellers 'dumping' their low value books.

Well done I haven't sold one today but have sold 4 this month so far so that equates to one a day so I can't really complain.

Re Mills & Boon sales :

Do you think these are only worthwhile if you're Pro Merchant?

You make about 80p if they sell for 1p. I also sold one which went to Holland and I made a similar amount.
Its alot more than you would get for them at a car boot fair.

Thanks to whoever pointed out the 'Amazon.co.uk Hot 100 Books'. Its worth viewing. I read the lsit of Saturday after going through a book of books which I had just been given. A Paul McKenna book was listed, mine sold within 24 hours of being listed.

I have had a few books on Green Metropolis for months but only sold two. I listed these books on Amazon and many sold within a week.
