We Need a 3 day 2 park Universal pass at the end of a Florida/Georgia/S Carolina trip and the cheapest ticket for us is the £80 14day pass which seems ridiculous overkill. Like Karen we have never used the ticket booths, but we are considering trying to SELL our remaining 11 days to a booth. Nothing to lose really.......unless someone here knows a downside? I guess there is no illegality or anything to doing this?
We was going to do this but one day we had a problem with DH ticket, his fingerprint would not scan. Before they would let him in they wanted to know what days and times we had been to the parks previously. We decided not to bother, I'd hate to think someone else spent money at the booth to find they could not get in.
After this I would not be tempted to buy from the booth or a used ticket elsewhere. It would not be worth the heartache if we could not get in.
Ah, someone above also said the same thing.
We paid £249 for the 21 day Disney pass - which is around than £11 a day for everything to do at Disney and free transport all over. It is such good value but people just see the one price tag and think oooer! You'd not even get zoo admission here in the UK for £10.
Also to add that we forgot our tickets one day and went to Blizzard Beach and had to claim it back when we got back to the hotel. The price for 2 ad, 2 kids to get into a waterpark for one day.... $185!!!0 -
On our last day of holidays last year we went into a shop on the 192. There was a ticket sales desk just inside the door.
The man behind the desk asked us if we wanted any tickets or had any to sell. We replied that we had Universal tickets that we had signed & been fingerprinted.
He very quickly said "I don't want them as I cannot reuse them"!Going down the Oteley Road to see the Shrewsbury aces! :T0 -
Have been looking at this ticket the 5 Park Orlando combo ticket.
americanattractions.co.uk/Orlando-combo-tickets
Giving 14 days unlimited access to Aquatica, Universal Studios, Universal Island of adventure, Sea World & Busch Gardens Tampa. For £153 per adult ticket, with a further (WIth a further £5 online booking discount off total price of 3 tickets) So £151.33 per ticket.
Was comparing it with the orlando Flexiticket Plus. I know the flexi ticket plus includes all of the above with the addition of wet n wild. Anyone any thoughts?
Thanks
No difference between the combo ticket and the flex ticket as you get exactly the same parks and use but the combo ticket is nearly £20 cheaper. americanattractions.co.uk
This is a great website and they seem to have the best deals going. May be worth looking at trip advisor for reviews. They also have 2012 tickets and prices.0 -
I'm going to Florida at the end of January/beginning of February next year for 10 days. I'm planning on flying to Tampa and staying with a friend who lives there. As part of my holiday we were thinking of doing 5 days at Disney World in Orlando. We'd want flexible tickets so we can come and go round the parks as we feel like it and we'd also want hotel accomadation. It doesn't need to be anything special for the hotel. Afterall it's probably only going to be used to sleep in, although internet access would be pretty advantageous. Also the official website does meal plans. Are they worth it?
Can anyone recommend the best way for us to do this. We also want to visist the Kennedy Space Station and Busch Gardens (although my friend won't need a ticket for Busch Gardens as she has an annual pass). Although we'll need transportation at Disney, my friend has a car so we won't need it for the rest of the time.
I know it's going to be expensive, but any tips on how to save some money would be very welcome.0 -
 Hello I have booked a flight & accomodation holiday to Florida going on 18th Oct. We have 7 nights in Orlando from 21st to 28th Oct & were looking for a 1 or 2 day Disney ticket & a 2 or 3 day Universal ticket. I can only find offers for 7 or 14 days not a base ticket price anywhere. I've used martins links & Googling and an getting a bit panicky.
Can anyone give me some advice?0 -

Disney: Call them and ask about the 'Magic your Way' tickets and you may be able to buy here and then collect them on the gate. I've never really seen anyone selling them here but I believe you can get them on the gate. Don't expect a huge price difference - here are the prices: http://www.mapleleaftickets.com/disneyworld_tickets.htm (but this is not a UK site, just gives the prices FYI)
If you are going to do this then you are best off just buying them on the gate as there is not a huge saving, however, it might be worth noting that a 14 day ticket costs pretty much the same as a 2 day ticket.
Same with Universal: http://www.universalorlando.com/Theme-Park-Tickets/General-Admission.aspx
The parks are not cheap to get in, you will find lots more information here: http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=122
I've only ever seen on place selling MYW over here but I've looked and cannot find it so they might have stopped. Even so they are not worth it unless you are buying more than 5 days as you then start to get free days added.
You can get cashback at Quidco via Expedia which gives 12% cashback on attraction tickets so this makes a 14 day Universal ticket from Expedia cheaper than buying a 2 day ticket from Universal.0 -

Have come across this fhfoundation.com/Disney/330level/ (Sorry this page wont let me put the link on) by donating to Florida hospitals you get a small discount & vouchers. Has anyone done this? Is it genuine?0

Could not even get that site to work - so for that reason I'd not touch it. It wanted me to download something which I declined.
In all honesty, for the sake of saving £10 on each ticket it'll take you hours of work and you have to work out whether that time is productive. I know some people have spent days looking only to save £40 on the total cost which is ridiculous in my opinion. In light of the number of people selling fakes I'd only buy from outlets I can trust. It is a lot of money to lose and have to replace, so near to a trip.
You are not going for long enough to get a great saving so it'll either be $80 on the gate or buying the big tickets for £200 or so. If you only want 2 days then buy them on the gate, if you want to park hop then you'll need to get the 'Magic your Way' base ticket and add the park hop option on. Universal/IOA you are better off buying the 14 day ticket for £84 as it is cheaper then buying a gate ticket for both parks.
If you buy a 14 day ticket then you'll also have the option of going back again if you have a spare afternoon or evening, or if rain has cancelled other plans. If you buy a Magic Your Way ticket you can add days on if you find out you have not had enough. Just what parks do you intend on visiting at Disney? If you want all 4 parks then it'll be $320 at the gate (plus tax) and it would be cheaper to buy a 7 day Ultimate or MYW with hopper. Sit down and work out what it is you want to do and go from there, if you want 2 parks on 2 days then pay on the gate. if you want a waterpark as well then you need a bigger ticket, it is $60 each to get into those as well.0
