was going to buy a nus card next week, but having just read this i might wait and see where i can use my normal id card (although would rather never have to take it out in public,photo is awfull!!:embarasse )

does anyone know if its the nus card you need for bella italia or will they take student id?

on second thoughts i might just buy the nus card anyway,so i can have something with better photo on.the thought of taking it out when with boyfriend :eek: £10 might not be too bad compared to the embarassment.

Having said that tho' a group of us went to the one in Brum for a friends birthday and they didn't have any of the special ISIC menu's so they gave us a whopping 25% discount instead:D

We all ate, with soft drinks for £9.50 a head!!! Proper food, with loads of salad!!! I had the beef fajitas which were normally £12.75 and a coke so nice savings to be had.

there's so many places that give discount that the NUS website just don't tell us about!

Found another great place to eat cheap in Birmingham today - Michelles Cafe and La Bastille Restaurant - all the same place at 220 Corporation St, just beofer STA travel shop.

£5.00 2 course student menu - it starts at 3pm and you HAVE to book!!! The food is brilliant. There are only 3 choices on the menu
Today was Parsnip soup, smoked mackerel and dill rilletes and the House Salad, followed by Pork in a red wine sauce - 2 massive spork steak things, Salmon in a cream and wine sauce( I had this and it weas deeevine) and pasta in a Tomato and cheese sauce - my veggie friend had this and said it was delish as well!!!

We had a drink each as well so it came to £6.50 per head! Kudos!!!
