    My mum's 53 in February ;)

I asked OH what he would want if we didn't have my mum looking after Rhys and he said a CM (pretty much for the same reasons as you, plus more attention to Rhys' medication too). Thankfully, even he doesn't want Rhys going to his mother!

I'm sorry, I know I'm being thick and you have said before, but are you working fulltime from January? And when you get good news on the tender (I assume nothing yet? :(), will you be leaving your current job, or has your current job got an end date to it? :)

It's a confusing situation isn't it! At the moment I have my job on a full time basis until March, the 20 contractors that I currently work with have agreed to fund my input until then. In March the framework I work on ends.

Another framework has been awarded to 20 new contractors (some are the same but it doesn't matter) and they start their work within the next month. They need someone to manage their partnership (my job) and that is what I have tendered for. I didn't hear anything today but I understand that the decision is either made or nearly made...and the new job starts on 10 December.

So there is an overlap!! But because it is the same client we will be able to work something out to manage both in parallel (if I get it!!). The client has asked us to arrange the initial meetings with the new contractors regardless!

If I don't get it, then I have 4 months notice that I don't have a job at the end of March next year...

    Simples ;)

anyone else with little girl's understand why they are putting stripey tights with outfits that have polka dots??????

i bought LO three denim dresses and a skirt, all sets and they came with either spotty tights (where the tops were stripes) or vise versa.

i have now gone out and bought plain tights.

not always up with the fashion me, but this one i can't do

Oh Krystal, I've just realised Rhys is bigger than Caitlyn was at birth now! :D
I noticed that when you said... He went from Aimee's birthweight and completely bypassed Caitlyn's! Go Rhys!!
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

No idea but my Aunt and I were discussing one of Caitlyn's outfits which is a tiny dot dress with stripey leggings underneath... We don't get it either...

Thanks for the nursery input MM - I'm still thinking about it but and you have given both sides which is good. Maybe I will look at 2 days nursery 3 days CM  Cos I might not even get 5 days at nursery cos Waiting List so long!

There used to be a website you could check CM's in the area but all I can find now is the DirectGov one and it's nowhere near as good as it was!

Why don't you try something in between? It is a massive leap to go from sleeping on you or OH to being asked to settle himself. Can you get him to sleep (or halfway there) and then put him down? Or will he settle on a pillow on your lap?

That's kind of what I'm doing - I used to wait until he was fast asleep but am now putting him down when's he's just dropped off but he still wakes up and cries! Managed to get him down about an hour ago when he was probably 60% asleep so getting there. Will try the pillow if I don't get anywhere!

On the childcare front, am I the only one going back to work and using grandparents (my mum, specifically)??

ETA Maybe that should be "utilizing with consent", not "using" exactly.. :rotfl: :o

I wish they lived nearer so I could!

Well, tonight I made chicken Balti with enough left to freeze and made a huge chilli with loads of added extras and real chillies  normally just use powder so hope it's not too hot! Cleaned up kitchen and bottles made so in 10 I'm gonna go and give him a dream feed and then go to bed at a respectable 11pm and go straight to sleep tonight ;)

Anyone else find they have a bigger sex drive after baby born?
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
