Elle, I would probably skip the baby rice and go straight to proper food... There's no nutrition in it AFAIK... I just used to use it as a thickener to purees for Aimee...

On the whole breakfast cereal thing... Isn't there something about the fibre content of some too? I know babies aren't supposed to have brown bread before 12months...

Right, last night Dylan fell asleep at 7pm and I couldnt wake him enough to take his 8.30 bottle, so I just put him to bed and she slept straight through till 7.45am this morning. He has again fallen asleep tonight about an hour ago, and doesnt want to wake up again !! Must be a growth spurt !!

Can someone tell me how much milk he should be having at the minute ?? He is 21 weeks Thanks

mm i make jayden 6oz sometimes he takes the lot sometimes he leaves an oz .. ive never followed what they should have if there hungry they'll want more if there not they wont .. zoe was a hungry girl she was on 7-8 oz by now x

no SM, I meant in a day, he is on 9oz bottles, but only having 3 or 4 a day of them, and wasnt sure if that was enough

Don't know if it's the same for formula, but for EBM it's weight in kgs x 150ml per day

sorry mm ... jayden has about 4-6 but your giving dylan more fluid so i suppose it work out the same x

7kgs (approx) x 150ml = 1050 ml
he is taking 4 x 260ml = 1040ml

so he might not be getting just as much as he needs, but is fairly close

mm, if he was hungry he'd wake for more... I'm sure he's getting as much as he needs

Yeah, I figured he would tell me if he needed more, but you know how parents worry because they have nothing to worry about !!!

Plan is to return to work 1st June BUT OH finishes his temp job on 30th June so will be off July & August - maybe Baby can start nursery/CM in September. I could get OH to keep his holidays and use them at the end.

Well, Jack is being a b00ger AGAIN he just won't settle unless he's sleeping on me or OH - I want him to settle in his cot but he's having none of it! Hopefully The Baby Whisperer will shed some light on how to do it!

Jack has 150ml bottles and has had 8 in the last 24 hours :eek:
