No, no pony.
It's probably no bad thing, though - my landlord's very good about pet ownership, but he might have a problem with me keeping a pony in the flat: its hooves would make a mess of the carpet, for starters.
Its my birfday next week can I have a pony pleeezeI promise to be good
Happy birtday CCP
5 for today:
1. NSD
2. Leftovers for lunch
3. Chose a bunch of flowers for the boss as she is about to go into hospital. We had a whip round last week and then she went off sick and then took leave for rest of week. It was nice to buy her something to cheer her up. Will give them to her tomorrow when she is due back (hope she likes them !)
4. Made pork, mushroom and brocolli with pasta in garlic and herb philli sauce for tea and DS did not notice I only used half the normal amount of meat !! Still enough for lunch tomorrow
5. Just enjoyed watching Alan Titchmarsh new gardening show, like groundforce but younger girls (who appear to have bras on) and builder not a patch on tommy !!
Have seen a part time job advertised as receptionist in Vet surgery and am tempted to apply. Would love a change of career ... I actually want to be an animal care assistant (got distinction in BTEC in Animal Management level 3) but jobs are few and far between, so if I could get a foot in the door might have a better chance maybe. Have done the same job for 24 years and hate it now but job security stops me leaving so am looking for more part time work but didnt really want more desk based/offce work as it might worsen my existing health conditions (I have special electric desk that allows me to alternate between sitting and standing, a roller mouse and lumbar support chair) . Wish I was more decisiveCurrently work 21 hours in customer service call centre, the reception job is advertised as 18 hours. Might apply anyway just for the experience, no harm in sending my CV I suppose .....

A marmite lover here too.
Kittikins oh no who’s shouting, hope things have picked up.
It is lovely reading everyones pleasures, esp when the evenings not quite wonderful.
I’ve not come home to good things, poorly animals, poorly husband, and <insert swear word for annoyingness of other people on the web – not this forum, just fed right up.
1.Was up on time and a lovely sunny walk into work, it was a tad bit harder today.:)
2.Sat in lovely gardens outside work having a sarnie.
3.Some lovely bargins from Mr A. That’s us done for a bit now as the freezers heaving with yellow stickers.:rotfl:
4. A lovely big cuppa.
5. Tea is all RTC from the above haul but also picked up a half price chocolate cheese cake that I don’t think will last too long.:o0 -
Evening all
VJsmum hope the jet lag goes soon - although your post was funny
Frith oh dear, I was sorry to hear about your smaller son, it's awful of the ex not to have let you know. Hope he gets over it quickly
Skint go for it! You've got a job now so you've really got nothing to lose, and you may gain a lot from a change
CCP just looked at your link Please tell me that they taste awful because I mustn't make things like that, I just pig on them and I really do need to reach my goal next month. But oh, they look sooooo good!
1. Good exercise class this morning, followed by a short gym session. Can't put the new programme into practice on Tuesdays or I'd be on my knees, but felt good for what I did manage
2. A lovely warm morning, driving along with the windows open and generously sharing James Blunt with all the passers by
3. One of the ponies in a field I pass on the way to exercise class was having a wonderful time jumping daisies. The others were pointedly ignoring her antics and grazing at a distance
4. nsd
5. A friend has agreed to go to Bodyflight with me for my birthday next month. It's been on my bucket list for a couple of years but I wasn't really fit enough before and had no-one to go with. The world is my oyster now
Sweet dreams0 -

Skint - go for it ! Your posts show how unhappy you are in your current role x If like me, you crash and burn on your days off, it seems wise to do something that you enjoy . I know easier said than done.
tilams - Marmite takes the roof of your mouth off , gives me eczema but I LOVE it
CCP - the landlord won't notice the pony .:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -

TILAMS and Chicken whatever are you doing up at that time of day? There's only one 6 o'clock in my day and it sure as little apples isn't in the morning
Makes me feel tired thinking about it. I need a siesta now0 -
1. Great night at the live music club, twelve different acts on, a huge variety of musical styles and levels of talent.
2. Drying so much washing on the line yesterday. The rain is back today of course. In fact it put in an appearance late yesterday, not having rained for a jaw-dropping 48 hours at least.
3. Doing up a pair of trousers with the button through the buttonhole, that I'd previously 'extended' by threading a pony -tail band through the buttonhole. I find these bands really useful, I used to have long hair tied back in a pony tail, but at 54 I'm a bit old for that style now, it isn't particularly flattering. I do have a large supply of bands though, and looping them through buttonholes is a far more comfortable solution than a safety pin.
4. A free 500g tub of spread to trial. It's a new 'lighter' variant and it took me back to when I used to beat water into tubs of St*rk 25 years ago, to stretch them.
5. Best one of all. My Punchbowl Farm books - Black Hunting Whip, Punchbowl Midnight and The Wild One - have arrived. These editions have come with wonderful introductions, one of them written by Monica Edwards' daughter Shelley, upon whom the characters of Lindsey (and Tamzin in the Romney Marsh books) was based. Apparently a lot of what the characters got up to actually happened to Shelley, and many of Lindsey's mannerisms are hers.
I will have read these by the time my favourite, Spirit of Punchbowl Farm, arrives, hopefully next week. It's due for publication on Saturday.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Good evening all!
OT- hhhm I see you are replenishing the rainy day pot ! Well done ! When is the chicken tractor coming ?
Sparrer - spent most of my adult life on a race horse at 6.30 am, so I am sort of institutionalised now . I crash and burn before 9pm though:rotfl:
5 for today
1. Henry hen is not limping as much today - I cannot find anything wrong with it , no thorns, swelling , broken bones etc. I think she must have twisted it somehow.
2.Work was ok - got a lot done .
3. Curry again for tea . I could live off of the stuff.
4.OH can cook his own tea by finishing off the rtc steak .
5. Received conformation that I have definitely got an extra free 2 months on breakdown recovery for the OGV as the company had some computer glitch and had not sent out renewal letters in May/June.
Have a good evening all!:AToo fat to be Felicity Kendal , but aim for a bit more of the good life :A0 -
