Sounds like the best use for a Citroen to me! Does yours have the onboard computer system with a mind of its own? Mine's currently obsessed with ice: every time I turn the key it starts beeping and saying "warning - risk of ice". I think you're wrong there, little car!
I will be the one that comes out at the roundabout then realise it is not my normal car. I am coloured red, in the 0.0L version.

TILAMS and Chicken whatever are you doing up at that time of day? There's only one 6 o'clock in my day and it sure as little apples isn't in the morning

Makes me feel tired thinking about it. I need a siesta now ;)
Early worms for the Birds! I always wake up with the crack of Dawn!:D:D:D
    A marmite lover here too.
tilams - Marmite takes the roof of your mouth off , gives me eczema but I LOVE it :D
Quite horrific that we are split on this love hate relationship with the brown nectar. Ms Sonny packed my favourite butties this morning. Mature Cheddar and Marmite. You see, though it has broken my heart, I love to hate the stuff nowadays.

Will get to try that I think. Thanks.

    OK Five for today.

5 Got the Grimsby non Icelandic fish in today. Not line caught either. Seems people thinks that men fish over the boat with rods to catch them, they do not, these lines can be hundreds of miles long in some areas of the world. Tragically they are used is Tuna fishing. Has been prepped ready for two kedgerees. Ms Sonny's favourite dish.

4 Got the 4 chicken beasts from the butchers, £5. Theyr are really half chickens! Marnading tonight prioir to freezing. That will be 4 Chicken Tikkas this month.

3 Free night and pub quiz tonight. Curry and 2 pints of wobbleade for £10. Shje loves it does Ms Sonny, twice in a weeks shes getting her Glad rags on

2 I was going to change my tagline this week, well yesterday. Then I though again, recent events and how we jump to the medias infused conclusions, belt fed by them. there is the King Kong picture and some Gas Explosion to talk about. How righteous is it of the media to induce our thoughts in the way they do, then worry why certains things are, then cry about it. I once read a book published in Edwardian Times, about life. One comment was. When the Husband comes home, do not get onto him, but be welcoming. he has had a hard day, the last thing he wants is ... Ok I knows its could be sexists. But we all have hard days do we not? Why carry the thing on when we get home? Oh, as for the lass who has had a right flipping time at a meeting, with an upstart jumping in. Word from one of my ex bosses. TILAMS, yous does not get what you want at the meeting because you pack it with dissenters. Do not be the problem, I am not interested. Come in with the solution. Test the solution at the coffee machie before hand.

1 There you are ranting and raving about nought. It is important to you, but when I get to hear of it, the knuckles being whitened are not my problem, I has enough for all of you. So when you go off, and out of the door, then be on your own now. We will not feel for you or come to your aid.. But if you should stay in here, then if anyone of those whom wish to bring fear to you, the we all share in the responsibility. And we will come to your aid.

I will listen to you [STRIKE]share[/STRIKE] care.

It is a pleasure reading all the posts on here..

I have a couple of pleasures but fraid I will have to credit the many I've done before type thing. There are a things causing un needed pressure at home, things that used to be a hobby/pleasure aren't anymore. I'm a very fed up bunny who has reached the end of my patience. and that takes a lot.

    1. It was a good day at work.
    2. Making a nice pasta bake.
    3. Enjoyed listening to a lady regailing stories on the train home of ww2 memories.
    4. Chocolate cheesecake for dessert.

Not come across this expression before but I rather like it! :D

Skint yet again - for what it's worth I think you should go for it too. I know how dispiriting job applications can be but you really have more to gain than to lose. Good luck!

    My pleasures for today:
    1. Didn't get rained on, despite some rather threatening clouds.
    2. Read some cheerful short stories.
    3. Found a copy of Paddington in the library, which will hopefully interest the children I look after (if not, I'm perfectly happy to reread it myself! ;))
    4. Dancing with the youngest girl to The Beach Boys - she has such an infectious laugh!
    5. Made strawberry milkshakes with the addition of some SO ice cream. Rather naughty but cheaper than buying from the ice cream parlour.
    6. Federer and Heather Watson winning at Wimbledon. Plus it's rather amusing listening to the radio commentary - they have to talk so fast to try and keep up with the ball when it gets exciting. :D

Hope everyone has a nice evening.

    5. A friend has agreed to go to Bodyflight with me for my birthday next month. It's been on my bucket list for a couple of years but I wasn't really fit enough before and had no-one to go with. The world is my oyster now :D

    Sweet dreams :)

Bodyflight??? Are you throwing yourself off of or out of something??

TILAMS - have you tried marmite and celery sarnies - yum!!

So For yesterday - likely to be all food related

    1. Yummy lunch in old Montreal - one of the nicest steaks I've ever had
    2. Walked up Mont Royale for spectacular city views
    3. Not hitting one of my colleagues who is an absolute to$$er
    4. Had lobster for the first time ever - lovely but a lot of work for very little
    5. Nice free drinks reception and doing the "meet and greet" and "pressing the flesh" which I hate but coped with well.

    And for today so far

    1. Presentation is done and went OK :T Now I can relax
    2. Yummy lunch of salmon
    3. Have met some really nice people.
    4. Off to the Sugar Shack later - which sounds like a dive but I think it's somehting to do with Maple Syrup
5.Facebook - which is letting me communicate with my DD throughout the day. My best status is "Even though she is a professor, I have no idea what this woman is on about". Sometimes I think researchers are too far up their own backsides.

    Have a good evening all
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Thanks !! I have spoken to my boss today and she has said its likely management will allow me to change my working pattern or reduce my hours if need be as they are desperate to cut the wages bill, so I will look at keeping my current job to work around a new one to start with, so I will still have some job security with current employment in case things dont work out with any new employer. Good to have that buffer as a single parent

    1. Not spend all day for me - love those days when your purse stays shut!

    2. Mowed lawns front and back - it was very humid and I was hot and sweaty but the shower after brought me back nice and clean again.

    3. Stripped the bed and washed the sheets, then stood with a nice glass of squash watching them blow in the breeze on the line. Looking forward to a nice clean bed tonight.

    4. Had the windows and doors open in the house all day.

    5. Had a lovely email back from Emma Bridgewater customer services after I thank them for all their help regarding an item I was after.

    Evening, All

I really struggle to find 5 things on work days. Strange that there's no problem on weekends, though. I'm struggling to understand why! :rotfl:

Ok here goes, scraping the bottom of the barrel a bit...

    1. Work related - I sent a thank you card to a member of a software support help desk, and she was chuffed to bits. Well deserved in my view, but her pleasure made me feel good, too :)

    2. NSD and NPD all in one go

    3. A BIG whisky & coke after work - much needed

    4. Sun came out after a bout of rain. Very warm and humid tonight, feels like summer (a bit anyway!)

    5. Really enjoyed reading your posts this evening - laughed a lot. Much needed :rotfl:

    Thanks all.

    LB xx

ETA - Actually, that's not too bad considering...maybe not reached the bottom of the barrel just yet :D

    hi all

    1. Had a day off work, so lovely and relaxed day.

    2. Probably not very old style... but went and had my roots done at the hairdressers, but certainly a pleasure !!

    3. Had a chat with my Mum

    4. Been trying to follow a new book on pain management which has been helping.

    5. Brought some new clothes... half paid with a gift card (so all good)!

Just one pleasure today which was not MSE or OS but worth every penny.

Seeing my beautiful DD going off to prom looking absolutely stunning and hopefully making the bullies that have made her so unhappy seeing what true beauty looks like. I know I'm biased but she looked absolutely stunning and so grown up which was a bit scary.

5 or so pleasures for today (Weds).

    1) Went to see a friend from my old school in town. We worked out it was almost a year to the day since we last met up! She had trouble having children and after trying for years has children of 2.5, 1.5 and another due in November!

    2) Picked smaller son up at 12 and he had been quite good at swimming.

    3) Went for a walk in the forest. Smaller son took his bike. Instead of meandering round like normal, we did the woodpecker trail.

    4) Went into town for some new trainers, then to get some cheap compost from the council tips then picked strawberries. After that, jet washed the car (smaller son loves doing that).

    5) Text from teachers in France saying all the children (bigger son included) are fine.

    6) Tasty tea. I did chicken drumsticks in sauce and "special fried rice" - just rice with peas, sweetcorn and red pepper. Followed by strawberries and cream. Enjoyed by smaller son.

    7) Had a good tidy up downstairs, did a mountain of washing up and the washing was up to date.

    8) One of my friends came to drop off a birthday card for me on his motorbike which impressed smaller son.

    9) Son let me wash his hair with no drama. This is rare.

    10) In bed early now, might listen to I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue again.
