i have contacted my dredit card this morning with a view to cancelling the payments, to be advised that even if I cancelled my account and credit card, i would still be billed for this payment of £9.95 every month as it is a subscription, egg would be entitled to bill me!
The only way forward is to contact VP rewards and get the account cancelled. Here's to 9am when phone lines open!0 -
I have fallen victim to VPREWARDS.COM VISTAPRINT.UK also, to the tune of £49. I too thought I was wise to scams, most of them are pretty transparent. I knew they were going to be debiting something from my account for postage so when I glanced down the list of transactions to see vistaprint, I probably just put the transaction down to this, forgetting about the previous transaction each month. It finnally clicked this month, arrrrgh.
I'll ring them Monday and ask for a refund. I'll post back on how I get on.
Thanks for all your comments above and to the site host.0 -
masmith wrote:I used VistaPrint for all my printing and they are a good Company. I am tried of Customers giving the Company a bad name simple because they don't spend time to read the £10.00 cash back.
VistaPrint sends all their promotions via email or their website. If you are offered £10.00 cash back PLEASE READ! Don’t just click away at every page and enter your email, because you maybe signing up for something you don't need and don't even remember that you have done so after a few days.
For those who say they never received their £10.00 cash back this is what you need to do to redeem the money: If you don't have a SPAM blocker on your computer. 2-4hrs after joining the program you would have received an email with your membership ID# just simply click through the link which takes you to https://www.dealpass.com enter your ID# and zip code to redeem your cash. or https://www.vprewards.com to learn more about the program.
Also 7-10 days after joining you receive another email stating that you have joined the program and you will be charged after 30 days £9.95, you can cancel at anytime by clicking the cancel option or call VistaPrint customer service 1-800-961-2075.
Please remember you are purchasing on the internet and all online Companies have Affiliate Partnership who offers to sell you something or the other. Please read carefully before entering your email address or selecting any offers except for what you are purchasing. If you are not sure about something just take up the phone and call Customer Service at 1-800-961-2075 it is that simple!
Also don’t you think if VistaPrint was ripping off people they would be out of business a long time ago?
Thank you so much for your post MASmith all the people who have lost money and fighting hard to get it back will feel soo much better now. You are just a mine of information (procedures phone numbers ect) you really should apply for a job with them you would be an asset to them. There are some real clever people on this site but even the less able minded can spot an AR*E 1 time only poster. Just like Vitamails PINKFISH!!!!!!!!!!! Bet you have won £10000 5 times thou0 -
I phoned VPrewards number 0845 6722002 and spoke to a very British sounding female called Rachael Manor. I thought I was fairly polite in voicing my protest; I said many people on the net, just like me, felt they had been the victims of a scam. She suggested she had the authority to refund money to my account and has done so for others in the past at her own discretion. However she refused to do so in my case because she did "not like the tone of my voice". She suggested that the company had 68,000 satisfied individuals and that even a large company like Marks & Spencer have a minority of problem customers. I suggested that her naivety was beyond belief, that I would be reporting the mater to the police and that she was probably heading for a criminal record (maybe it’s me being naive, maybe she already has one?).
I phoned my HSBC gold card company to alert them and ask for assistance. They were of some, but limited help.
I then phoned vistaprint on 08000288251 I spoke to a guy with a US accent in their call centre based in Jamaica. He suggested he would ensure the entire amount would be refunded to my credit card. To his credit I have recieved an email like that recieved by Funkystu. So at the moment I wait in hope.
I find it hard to believe that major UK banks do business with almost any Tom, !!!!!! and Harry like this. They need a dose of corporate governance poured upon them from high. I intend to write to my bank their regulator and maybe the police.0 -
when querying my cc debit with American Express - they said that they were "reviewing their relationship" with Vistaprint and gave me the vistaprint free number 0800 0288251 to cancel my debit (they advised cancelling anything I may have inadvertently signed up to, requesting immediate reimbursement and also e-mail confrmation of the reimbursement). This gave reasonable customer service - ie. promised reimbursement etc....I await credit of the £9.95.....and will post again if it doesn't turn up soon.0

i have fallen for this twice also. the first time i didnt notice untill 3 months had gone by and i contacted my bank but had to email vprewards 4 times before they cancelled it but in all fairness they did refund the money. this time i thought that it would be ok and the first time was a mistake on there behalf and it wouldnt happen again. i will be calling them in the morning and cancelling everything and will never be using them again. because although they do seem to be refunding most peoples money the fact is we shouldnt have the hassle of cancelling all these payments which are down to a company trying to swindle money put of people unknowingly.Friends are like flowers that never fade away0

yup they got me as well!
First time round I musta noticed it but not the 2nd time.
Called up and money will be fefunded within 48 hours.
Don't use the online form - all that happens is that they email you telling you that you have to phone them. What a system...Save more money, buy more beer! :beer:0 -
I had a email from them as well saying that I was enrolled to a free trial to the reward scheme so I fired back a prompt reply telling them I didn't apply and wanted them to cancel it immediately, seems if you spot it in time and cancel it there is no problems.0

Like many on here I somehow got caught by this scam. Received two emails today - from VPREWARDS and PREMCLUB wanting to charge £9.95 each!
Don't know what Vistaprint are thinking about when they try and pull off these scams, I guess only time will tell if their business gets damaged by this.
Anyhow I think I've managed to cancel my 'subscriptions' via the relevant websites... I guess it remains to be seen if I do in fact get charged.
I would urge anyone reading this to proceed with extreme caution when ordering from Vistaprint... their products aren't too bad... but I certainly would not order from them again.
Thanks to all who have contributed... just wish I'd read this earlier!0 -
I have had a reply from vprewards sayiing that they will put the money back on my card within 2 days, this has not happened yet. Also though I have had 2 payments for the same amount taken by clubprem.com, this seems to be a related party of vprewards, is this the case and how do you get the money (or even a reply) back fro them?0
