I too have somehow been scammed in the same way.
I noticed a payment of £14.99 going out of my account to highstreetmax.com so i checked out the company, it took me to a page offering some discounts on high street shopping but i couldnt get past the first page as i didnt have log in details. There was no contact number and i had never heard of them so i contacted my bank to say I didnt know why i was paying these people could they look into it. After several emails of the "are you sure you didnt sign up for this" variety they said they would look into it.
The next month i was shocked/suprised to see i had made another payment to highstreetmax. I contacted my bank who said they were powerless to stop the payments!!! and it seemed there was some monthly payment set up.
They did provide me with a phone number, i called and it gave me another phone number and i eventually spoke to a very rude woman who said i had clearly signed up to pay £14,99 monthly!! to get a shopping discount.
She said it had originated when i bought something from lastminute.com and that i must have ticked a box or somesuch to create the agreement.
I have demanded the payment stop and that i get reimbursed but was told all i could do is write to their PO box, which gives you an idea of what kind of company this is.
I contacted lastminute.com as they must have given over my banking details to these scammers as i certainly didnt, but they just sent back some sort of bland response that went, "sorry you had some problems with your last purchase, i hope things go more smoothly next time you visit lastminute".
I wrote back and said you havent even bothered to read my complaint have you? and this seems to be illegal you giving my bank details to scammers, but they didnt even bother to reply to this email.
So it seems this is some sort of legalised theft, i am going to persue this with whoever will listen, including the media. I am horrified that my bank cannot stop paying this company, and that lastminute can give out my bank details and not even bother to reply to my complaint.
I have finally lost my faith in internet shopping/banking, I always thought that the people who worried were the paranoid types.
Sadly it seems to be safer to go back to cash0 -
Have never used the, dont have an account with Vista Print but just discovered as i was doing my accounts that they been taking £11.95 a month of the company card and just this month increased it to £13.95. I rang them but they say they cant stop payment or refund it as I dont have an account. they can search on email address phone number or Vista account name and none of they show my details
SO BEWARE DONT USE VISTA PRINT OR GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR DETAILS ESP CC DETAILS
Now have to go to my CC company and fight with them

Another victim here...
I've used Vista Print twice before for business cards and never had any problems with them. Noticed on my Citibank statement that £9.95 was deducted yesterday, showing the debitor as clubprem.com. I googled them and this thread came up so thanks for starting it....:D
Have emailed the bank but as mentioned elsewhere, having phoned the company, they're closed until Monday...:mad:0 -
OK- so I've got the idea that dealing with Vista Print is a rather 'treacherous' exercise!
However I wouldnt mind some free-ish business cards-so does anyone know of any other companies doing a similar free business card offer that are actually trustworthy to deal with?
Or is that just asking too much!

I too have just discovered that three payments have been taken from my Mastercard account. I bought some excellent 'free' business cards from Vistaprint but am certain that I didn't tick any boxes that weren't essential to this transaction. I have just complained by phone and was promised (by Mark) that I would receive a full refund within seven days.
Today I also received yet another promotional Email from Vista Print and this time I decided to ask to 'Unsubscribe.' In the survey asking why I wish to unsubscribe I said it was because of the ClubPrem scam and the misleading way (my opinions) they do not show this as an item unrelated to the service for which I WAS paying and for which a fee will be charged. But I still don't know why I was subscribing to Club Prem as it is not my habit to join this kind of service. And as far as I'm aware I never received any kind of information or service from ClubPrem.0 -

Haven't done this before I hasten to add but was looking forward to it as I was so cross at what they had done. Decided to attack by phone email and fax. Sent one email two faxes and phoned three times in last hour. Now have an email to say I will get a full refund within 7-10 days and account is cancelled. I will wait with baited breath.

Hi I had the same thing, although they never got around to taking any money thank god!!! I did email them and they did get straight back to me saying the subscribtion was "an error" and that no money would be taken from my account, and it never was and now I keep getting emails for free stuff and just pay postage which I will use once my business cards have run out as they are cheaper than having them printed.
Glad you got dosh back tho!0 -
I just stopped my card - I found 4 items - 3 for VPREWARDS,COM all for £9.95 and a phone number - 0845 026 1100 after them. and one marked PTI EUROPE REGIOM GBP for the same amount with the same number.
Watch out !!!!!!!!!!!0 -
Thanks to this site , I decided to contact them and fight. I started by sending emails asking for evidence that I was a member as I had never received any membership details. They replied stating that they couldn't trace my membership details and providing me with a contact phone number. I phoned that number and was informed that my payments would be refunded. One payment ONLY was credited to my account - so I phoned again and kept phoning until I finally had all payments credited to my card. DON'T give up - state your case firmly and clearly - hopefully you'll get the same results as I did. The phone number to use is 0845 672 2002. Good Luck. :j0
