  • With oil prices having risen significantly, it has become clear that suppliers of domestic oil will increase prices swiftly, but take longer to lower then (if at all). As many in villages have no alternative to oil for heating, is this not an area which should be regulated in the same way that gas and electricity prices are?
  • Limit child benefit payments to 2 children only - if a family has more than 2, then they should be in a position to support them, themselves and not expect the country to do so. When 1 child reaches 16, then benefit can be paid to a 3rd child and so on, until all reach the age of 16.
  • A sovereign government has the capacity to issue its own currency and credit, debt free. Why then does our sovereign government borrow private money from private bankers at interest and therefore trap it's people in debt slavery ?

The answer to this question provides the solution to our financial problems.
  • Pensioners don't need the money if they are higher rate tax payers so use the money saved to fund the care for less wealthy pensioners.
  • As there is a job shortage why not have an early retirement scheme to let older people leave work a little bit earlier and younger unemployed people have the jobs - it worked in the 80's. Why not pay pensions to people who have woked for years rather than unemployment benefit to people who have never worked.
  • 1. benefit payments should only be granted for up to 2 kids and not beyond. This would then stop scroungers having multiple kids and keep claiming more in order to continue not to work. This will also help prevent large disruptive families on council estates.

    2. private fuel allowance for business use absolutely must be raised from the current 40p per mile. Fuel prices have doubles but this hrate has not changed!

    3. Companies should only be allowed to pay bonuses that are a maximum percentage of someones salary. Bonus should be a nice extra and not a life changing some of money.

    4. road tax should be charged to fuel rather than fixed fee. People who use the road most pay the most. I shouldn't pay £250 a year for a car that maybe only gets used a few times a year.

    5. stamp duty thresholds must be raised by another £50-75k per band to cater for increased values

    6. Gov't should apply the same grants to england, scotland, wales etc. For example, if you can get cancer drugs on the NHS in scotland it should be available in all other areas.

    7. car CO2 values are insignificant next to the pollution caused by manufacturing them in the first place. This is how tax should be calculated

    8. Tax should be bought in for ALL meats and fast food types. This would promote more vegetarian food use creating healthier lifestyle, less obescity and massivly reducing the number of cattle and subsequent methane levels which is a far bigger pollutant than any car ever will be.

We're constantly bombarded with claims offering broadband for 7 to 10 pounds or less; it is not until we read tiny print that we discover that they're conditional on paying a line charge, often more than the claimed BB charge ('phone calls are even offered as "free").
  • People get sporadic employment are often chasing after their own wages and are not considered to be in permanent employment and therefore do not qualify for a mortgage etc. They cost employers and are an artificial way of gauging unemployment levels people in work need some job security not afforded by agencies.

Reasonable: if it costs to accept payment by credit card, or not by direct debit, these costs should be passed on. Not reasonable: that they should be inflated out of all proportion: a limit of say 150% (i. e. add half), and companies should be obliged to justify (show details).
  • Wouldn't it be much more cost effective to scrap road tax (how much does it cost to administer - DVLA / Post Office and Police to monitor) and instead add the tax to petrol, then you really do pay as you go (encourage everyone to cut their mileage), foreign drivers have to pay as well and total taxation would be less because of the elimination of the admin costs
