The stuff I'm selling is not & never has been hers - I'm happy to send photos to anyone who wants to see the vast train set my Son has which I'm trying to thin out before we move house (I still have the stuff I bought from her incidently - again pictures available)
If you're trying to thin out your son's train set before moving house, why buy more??
If you didn't ask for the money back, then phone paypal and tell them to put it back in chester's account.
If you DON'T want the train set, then sent it back in the same state you bought it.
And why send a recorded delivery letter to fake return postage?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Hello chester 19760,
Firstly, this is the item description of the goods you sold me;
Description
This bid is for a huge item of Thomas track and accessories
Including
Thomas carry case (£10 to buy brand new)Knapford station (£80 to buy brand new)
Jeremy jet and airport (£120 brand new)
Chocalate factory (£30)
Wooden bridges x7
brio bridge (£25)
turn table
Small tunnel
large straight track x 10 medium straight track x11 small straight track x17
Curved trackx16 small curved track x34
track for bridges x8
fat controller, 3 adaptor track pieces and 8 other pieces
All in good condition although played with alot there is a crack on one of the glass shelters of knapford station. I can provide other photos if you want.
As this is a huge collection I have listed it as collection only, however if you'd like to arrange your own courrier to pick the item up thats fine by me, that way you'll be getting the cheapest deal. The item weighs 14kgs if you need any other measurements please email me.
No trains, no mention of trains, no stuff as shown on the table I'm selling so what of my stuff listed do you think was yours?
You offered courier as an option in the listing. I voluntarily offered you money to package the item as it was to go by courier, which you accepted. The whole lot was just wrapped in brown paper, hence the damage - I did say to you about making a claim from DHL but decided against this as it wasn't their fault with just paper for packaging.
You acknowledged you had forgotten to send the carry case, hence this email you sent me, 'hi, no case hasnt been posted been busy my daughter has been in hospital so havent had the chance to go on the computer all week, she's ok now thankfully. Anyway just been on paypal to tranfer your money to my bank and for security they are with holding it for 21 days (from the day you paid) or until I receive positive feedback, I understand you wont want to give positive feedback until you ave the case so I'll just wait until the 21days are up, shouldnt be long to wait. I have it packed and ready so will send off once cleared
thAnks Louise'
I offered to purchase another item from you to make up the postage for the missing case which you declined.
I emailed you again, I then phoned ebay for advice, they said make contact with you, as you may not be getting your emails, hence the polite letter giving you my address & email details in case you'd misplaced them.
Paypal asked me if the item was no longer available would I accept a partial refund (I checked for the cheapest case I could find on Ebay, £8 - not even including P&P), I had to reply to their message & said £8 which I understand they sent on to you & still no reply to my email, letter or to Paypal so how can I be in the wrong!
I see you've now won several of my trains (not even changing your user ID from pugalugs09 ?) which doesn't strike of trying to resolve like adults & I'm amazed that you've still not attempted to make any contact with me directly.
I don't intend to resolve this whole mess on here but I hope this gives people a bit more of an insight into the matter.
As I say; don't believe everything you read!
Anyway if you want to conclude this privately you have my email address.
I hope people realise none of this is a scam, I've filed no other non receipt claims and hope not to have to again (although I can see I'll be filing a non paying bidder!)
Anyway hope you've all enjoyed the Halloween witch hunt0 -
PS
I've bought some new trains (in boxes) as Xmas presents for my Nephews - not the same as what I'm selling - hope that's allowed with you guys! ?0 -
Firstly I don't believe anyone was on a 'witch hunt'.
We were merely going on the information we were given. You state that you started a non-receipt dispute?! You did receive the item though which as you claim has parts missing so therefore it really should have been a SNAD dispute.
Why did you pass the tracking number you used for your polite letter to Paypal, which I assume you know that is all they required for you to get a full refund?
Why do you now have both the money and the majority of the listing?
Are you going to return the items to the buyer?
Oh and it would appear on your buying history that you bought alot more than a few new Thomas the tanks;).The shinbone is a device for finding furniture in a dark room.:TBig thanks to all competition posters:T0 -
TBH, with the items you got for the money, I think that asking £8 for the case which was not received was a bit of a cheek. I would support the seller in requesting items be returned for a full refund - what is your problem with that?
Its also crystal clear that you are not just clearing a few old bits but definately buying to resell - I don't have a problem with this but your denials smack of dishonesty. Please do not quote spam as this enables it to 'live on' once the spam post is removed.
If you quote me, don't forget the capital 'M'

Looking at what you have bought and what sort of things you sell. That doesn't add up. You are obviously buying to sell so therefore a business. As for your dispute with Chester as you say there are 2 sides to every story only the pair of you know the full story.0 -
No trains, no mention of trains, no stuff as shown on the table I'm selling so what of my stuff listed do you think was yours?
TBH, that's another issue. The fact is you have admitted that you are now in possession of the majority of the listing AND have your money back. Whether it's legal or not (and at the very least it's a grey area) MORALLY it's wrong of you to keep both. Either transfer the money back to chester or send the trains back.:j30/7/10:j

My uncle and cousin (genuinely) do work for the police, as did my grandfather. Obviously I'd never use it in a threadI was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0
