You should really just pay her a visit!0 -
wish I could mate but Im from the north east and she's in london.
Wouldnt p**s me off as much if it wasnt the fact that its my son's train track she has, he's 5 and wanted to sell it to buy some lego. How you suppossed to teach your kids the value of money when the likes of her are about?0 -
Have also just realised why she couldnt return the track she's stuck the bloody thing to a train table. the train table she's selling isnt mine but all the track etc on the table is mine grrrr0

omg op, thats awful! i just got fleeced on ebay as well thanks to paypal always favouring the buyer IMHO. if i was you, i would get copies of every item she is selling in relation to breaking up the set, print out copies of your original transaction with her and basically make a portfolio of evidence as she has defrauded you, maybe even visit the CAB to see what they say about this.0

OP don't get mean just get even. Report to EBay as a business seller. Then report to HMRC for tax evasion...that might make you feel better.0

If she has "really" reported it to the police, do you have the crime number? If so, maybe a phone call to the officer involved giving the full details might be worthwhile.2023 wins - zilch, nada, big fat duck. quack quack,0

Why dont you do the same to them??? Win the item, get it shipped to a different address so it isn't obvious its you and then open a dispute saying exactly as they did, send a recorded envelope and get your money back. Give them a taste of their own medicine - they deserve it!!0

Bluffer I was the one repoting the incident to police, they said even though she'd lied to paypal about sending the wrong parcel she hadnt committed a crime, also said even if she got the money back (which she now has) there is little they could do. A no win situation on my behalf but one Im not letting lie.0

This probably isn't a police matter but it is still fraud and I would be looking at small claims just to make a point with this.
Take screen grabs of everything though just in case.
However, are you 100% sure that the Thomas set is exactly tehs ame one she is selling, it seems odd to buy it and then sell it along side lots of other items having stuck it to a table. I think I would concentrate more on the initial fraud.
Also, don't give up on paypal, use their formal complaints system to complain against them, you may have to search their daft help pages but they do have a process for raising na official complaint against them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
