I didn't post to solicite help - just to add my experience. The ideal courier would be one I could book and then drop off at a collection point. The only ones who do that are Parcelforce, and I may as well go to the post office to do that.
Having said that, I've contacted City Link to see if it is ok to book through an agent and then drop off.

You can book with DHL and drop of at the depot. You just need the reference number to do it. No probs.

this is the "Cheap Parcel Delivery Official Discussion" not parcel moneky live help

Ah, but that would cost server space and money, custardy. Much better to use Martin Lewis's server space for free. Well, it is a money saving website, don't ya know. ;)

I do not think you will have any problems dropping off at Citylink. I took my parcels to local depot with the delivery address written and the MGB number written on and the girl said "i'll put them on the conveyor" - they were delivered without problem

    parcelmonkey company representative

i made an order for collection on 24th March and city link did not pickup, ive used parcelmonkey twice before and parcels were collected ok, albeit at 5.55pm both times, but this time nothing.

ive tried emailing you and calling you but don't get an answer after a 20min wait..

    order number is xxxxxx

    Please respond asap.

OK ParcelMonkey have now responded to my email, and rebooked collection for today.

Thanks Kayster. My local hub has just merged with another and the phone line isn't being answered. I go to an auction half a mile away from the City Link depot, so this will be ideal.

AVOID Parcelmonkey they are useless and certainly live up to their name a right bunch of monkeys.

Thet may be the cheapest but their customer service is dreadful.

I booked a collection for earlier in the week and got the labels etc and waited in all day, but no-one came to collect. As they dont have a contact number or live support i emailed them and 24hrs later still hadn`nt had a reply. I contacted Citylink (the firm Parcelmonkey had booked to collect) myself and they told me the pick up had`nt happened because Parcelmonkey didnt specify a collection date when booking the collection:mad:.

Eventually after another email Parcelmonkey have replied and i have now been refunded and i have sent via Parcel2go instead.

This is the second time i have had a missed collection with Parcelmonkey out of three collections......pretty awful success rate:eek:.

Will not use these jokers again and i would warn other moneysavers to look elsewhere.

Can you suggest me a reliable service to send a 25 kg parcel from UK to Hungary?

I have been waiting for 2 days for a Parcelforce collection booked by Parcel2Go, but they have not arrived, now I am going to cancel it and ask for refund.

These are the alternative ones I found:
    payperparcel - DHL Europlus
    senditeasy - DPD Euro Economy
ParcelBroker - Euro Saver or DHL Europlus
    parcelsplease - DPD

Which one would you suggest? I have good experience with DPD, I would go with it if it's possible.
