Are you based in a northerly rural area? I know that some of the IV postcodes are in areas where the carriers don't collect across all of the region every day? (partic worse on the islands where ferry services can be infrequent/interupted).

If you live in the middle or normal urban Britain, then I agree, no reason for a failed collection.

Center of Edinburgh, not really a rural area...

Can you suggest me a reliable service to send a 25 kg parcel from UK to Hungary?
Have you looked at Pharos Parcel? Their Europe prices are quite good and they use UPS who I always find very reliable.

The big parcel I want to send would be 57 pounds + VAT, 2x as much as I found with ParcelBroker with DPD.

I have canceled Parcel2Go and asked for refund and booked DPD via ParcelBroker for tomorrow. I wrote email to all the companies I mentioned and they answered it first and almost immediately. The insurance was the cheapest with them too, for 500 pounds it was 10, compared to 15 by ParcelsPlease and to 50 by Parcel2Go.

I hope they collect in by tomorrow, as I have no other choice because I am leaving the country for eastern holidays.

OK, I have sent my parcel with DPD via Parcelbroker at the moment! After two days of waiting for Parcelforce via parcel2go I was really afraid, as this is my last day I here, but with Parcelbroker and DPD it seems everything went fine. (Will update when the package arrives). They will give me the tracking number when the package arrives at the depot. Actually I asked all 5 carriers I listed, and only Parcelbroker was willing to give me the real tracking number, which I can use on the carrier's website. It's just much more reliable and quicker than using a 3rd party's webserver to track the parcels!

An other big + for Parcelbroker is that any time I email them they answer my question in an intelligent way in minutes! Not like Parcel2Go when you are chatting with robots! I have spent so much time chatting with Parcel2Go agents, it's really ridiculous what are they doing. They just don't want to understand what I am asking from them. I will update on the refund situation too.

Why is their no physical address, business/company owner name, ltd company registration number on the Parcelbroker website?

Why are people expected to give money to a website/email address and 0844 telephone number without absolutely any indication of who it is that they are legally contracting to do business with.

Why do companies think that it's OK to set up websites and do business like this?
And why to customers do business with them?
Is saving a quid really worth the risk of doing business with an anonymous person/company.

If the parcelbroker website does have all the legally required information on it, then I would be happy to stand corrected if someone can post me in the right direction, but for now, to me, it just looks like a business trying to hide any information that would actually allow a customer to resolve any disputes.

OK, guys this is the time when I want to ask to please delete my account, as I WILL NEVER EVER WANT TO GO TO THIS FORUM!

What a nonsense, I had problems, I spent two days at home waiting for Parcel2Go, then I started looking for the internet and found the four alternatives, which I mentioned, then I tried one in the last moment and it worked. I shared my experience, nothing more!

PLEASE DELETE MY ACCOUNT! And !!!! you guys with multi thousand posts who think I am a spammer!

I have been waiting for 2 days for a Parcelforce collection booked by Parcel2Go, but they have not arrived, now I am going to cancel it and ask for refund.

These are the alternative ones I found:
    payperparcel - DHL Europlus
    senditeasy - DPD Euro Economy
ParcelBroker - Euro Saver or DHL Europlus
    parcelsplease - DPD

Which one would you suggest? I have good experience with DPD, I would go with it if it's possible.[/QUOTE

    Hi

With regards to your recent enquiry, I would say that these services are good but I would recommend using Transglobal Express Ltd
They are a freight forwarder that offers a variety of different services.

You merely log onto there website go through the quotation booking tool and follow the steps.

With these all available options will be outlined for you and you can select whichever carrier best suits you.

The sales team are very helpful and it is much easier to deal with them than a larger courier company - queries are always monitored with the upmost haste.

I would definitely recommend them as I myself use them for continued shipments and rarely have any difficulties.

They are definitely worth a look!! :D:D:D

OK - post the tracking number for your failed parcel2go parcel to Hungary made earlier this week so we can see for ourselves.
If you do i will publicly apologise here and make a donation to a charity of my choice by way of atonement.

Why would you be afraid. If they really did not come, then parcel2go would probably refund you when requested.

All sellers reselling services such as DHL, CityLink etc... give you a "real tracking number" A lot of resellers have a built in tracker on their site, but it can also be tracked externally on the shipping company's site.

Dont use third party resellers then. You can go direct if you wish. Seeing as though you dont like third party sites(resellers would fit in to this category), why dont you go direct then?

It really does depend who you are talking to. With p2g, most of the time I can get through to good customer support, but when I last used their live help, the customer support was terrible

I would suggest talking to other agents and at different times. e.g.: I hate calling customer service after 6pm, as Im usually transferred to Indian support after then and British support before then(in my experience)
