szero, my comments are not aimed at you, but at the parcelbroker website.

kaystar - yes, that is available through the whois and nominet, but my point is that a customer shouldn't have to go to a who-is, or find out through a forum, to know legally required information that should displayed prominetly on the website BY LAW.

And this is what evey website that anyone that books a parcel through should show; http://www.parcelkings.co.uk/page4.html

    Yipee!

Although, I see that they don't ask for the weights and dimensions of the parcel, and that there are no maximums/limits.?

Their website says 30kg max, 1.5m length 3m Girth - so i think we can guess who the carrier might be.
Whois says the website registrant is a UK registered charity and the company was formed last Friday. I will let someone else be first here.
  • This outfit stinks of ParcelBee.

    - Same domain registrant (registered just two weeks ago)
    - Serif WebPlus 11 used for web design.
    - Very similar layout.
    - Privacy policy is stolen from http://www.inter-courier.co.uk/index_inner.php?pg=Zm9vdGVy&content=1
    - Term's [sic] of use stolen from http://www.transoluk.com/terms-and-conditions/
    - About Us stolen from http://www.senditeasy.com/aboutus.html
    - Sections of their front page stolen from http://www.parcel-to-austria.co.uk/
    - 9am cut off (same as PB)
    - Very little investment on website (all the signs of a fly-by-night outfit)
    - Yes, they display their contact address but their registered address (Quality court) is a rented office. Not very reassuring.
    - Their domain registration states they are a charity and the postcode W1 1PS isn't valid http://who.is/whois/parcelkings.co.uk/

Good luck people but I won't be risking my money (or the contents of my consignments).

people will though, same as every time you will get some where the cheap price draws them in
  • Turns out there's another reseller parcelking.co.uk (singular not plural) who has been around since July 2009.
    http://www.parcelking.co.uk/services_domestic.asp

Looks like parcelkings.co.uk have stolen wording, maps and zones concept off them. In all, a pretty plagiarised site.

Don't the couriers perform credit checks before allowing resellers credit accounts or can anyone just set up shop overnight?

Can you suggest me a reliable service to send a 25 kg parcel from UK to Hungary?

I have been waiting for 2 days for a Parcelforce collection booked by Parcel2Go, but they have not arrived, now I am going to cancel it and ask for refund.

These are the alternative ones I found:
    payperparcel - DHL Europlus
    senditeasy - DPD Euro Economy
ParcelBroker - Euro Saver or DHL Europlus
    parcelsplease - DPD

Which one would you suggest? I have good experience with DPD, I would go with it if it's possible.[/QUOTE

    Hi

With regards to your recent enquiry, I would say that these services are good but I would recommend using Transglobal Express Ltd
They are a freight forwarder that offers a variety of different services.

You merely log onto there website go through the quotation booking tool and follow the steps.

With these all available options will be outlined for you and you can select whichever carrier best suits you.

The sales team are very helpful and it is much easier to deal with them than a larger courier company - queries are always monitored with the upmost haste.

I would definitely recommend them as I myself use them for continued shipments and rarely have any difficulties.

They are definitely worth a look!! :D:D:D

    Mmmm 1st post

Not in their sales department by any chance ;)

Against my better judgement, decided to give ParcelMonkey one last try with a parcel for tomorrow - fingers crossed CityLink don't screw up.

Without looking at the link, I thought PK's would be the same scammers as PB. I believe PB were also LCPD. Would it not be possible to dob these scammers in for fraud?
  • Before you guys all jump down my back, there is no option to send a private message to the Parcelmonkey rep and I have tried emailing the company via their normal channels to no avail so am having to resort to posting here to get their attention.

@ Parcelmonkey rep - please can you contact me, I have sent 3 e-mails last week via the contact us form on your website regarding discussing compensation for the late delivery of my parcels and also for the original failed collections which led up to this, no-one has responded to date.
