I need to send a parcel (120x30x30) cms, weighs17kg from West Midlands to Colchester. Problem is that I need compensation for around £1,000 and the couriers i've tried so far want to charge around £35 (inc comp) to send. Can anyone suggest a cheaper courier?

Right so this is your second post since 2007 and you haven't thought to read above? Nor have you contributed as well.
For £1000 insurance, your best bet is CCL logistics

Hi, what is it you're sending if you don't mind me asking? Not every item is covered by insurance.

Of course PB is probably cheaper, but with £500 insurance, instead of £1000. How much is your item worth? eg: how much did you buy it for? Postal companies obviously want to pay a lower amount eg:

If you bought a fridge for £1250, and sold it for £950, the postal companies will pay back £950 to you

If you bought the fridge for £750 and sold it for £900, then the postal companies will pay you back £750. They will pay back the smallest amount they can

The more you go along the chain of importer, wholesaler, retailer, 2nd retailer(sometimes), consumer etc... the more the postal companies pay out, but some dont allow the buyer to claim I think

    Hello
As waqasahmed suggested try CCL. We send some of our heavy / oversized items through them. As well as large parcels to France, they have an unbeatable £11.50 for 30kg. Try Jennifer on 01292 310510. They have a bit of a habit of booking pick ups a day after requsted dates.
Or You Sell We Deliver. They would charge an extra £9.99 for £1,000 on top of their charges of £8.99 for PF48 and £9.99 for PF24. They have been mentioned / recommended by a few people over the last year or so. We have been using them for the last nine months without a hitch. I don't quite see what the number and frequency of posts has to do with his request!

Huh, funny. With CCL logistics, they have a worldwide delivery option however when making a quote it only allows you to make a UK booking
