Another anti-recommendation for MyHermes. Just had a delivery (as in, about 5 minutes ago) for a £60 item, and they didn't even ask for a signature. Not only that, but it was collected from the seller on the 27th... and today's the 2nd (nearly the 3rd ;)).

We won't be using them for outbound parcels, that's for sure.

OH has quite a few inbound parcels from DHL and I've noticed that they don't always get a signature either...I questioned the guy who brought this morning's box and it seems he's a Christmas temp so maybe it's widespread at this time of year unfortunately.

I've been using PM for the last month, and been very happy with their (FedEx 24hr) service. Unfortunately it seems that they've just switched to CityLink - which isn't obvious before you book - and I had a failed collection today.

I like the local FedEx guy; going to contact him tomorrow and see if he knows any other resellers because I've had trouble with CityLink before.

Interparcel do a FedEx 24 for £7.95+VAT. They are also doing My Hermes

should have sent it 2nd class ;)
  • In my experience the company myhdnl.co.uk have been less than helpful when trying to track a parcel. Use with caution.
My parcel disappeared from my doorstep where the deliverer left it. The 0871 phone number on the card costs 10p a minute to call. the call centre will not give out numbers for the depot.
    I am now left
    a. without my parcel
    b. a larger phone bill that I started with
    c. waiting for a call from the depot after they have interviewed the driver. (optomistic? Nuh)
    d. Only able to complain by letter to Head office.

If you really want your parcel to get to you - choose your provider careully.

Been reading through there but none the wiser - just bit more confused. I need an average small parcel delivered - who do I use ??
Used to use pay per parcel I think it was.

    Hi

There a lots of companies out here who can arrange for your parcel to be collected and delivered. We always use DHL via collectmyparcel.com. £8.75 inc VAT for the DHL 48 hr service. Easy website, good price for great service.

www.myhermes.com will do a basic parcel service collect from your door under 2kg for £3.99. People have had problems with them but they seem alright and get there eventually fully tracked.
