Those are very good prices. On the strength of your recommendation i've booked a UK and a European delivery to try them out.

This was parcelbee and below is my experience.
My UK one is delivered, my european one is on time for delivery so i've booked one to Asia that has been collected today. I've saved over £30 on the Asian parcel over the best price elsewhere.
I read and note the reservations some have over anonimity of the website owner but I'm not sure a name on a website gives you any guarantees - i expect Madoffs website had good contact details. The carrier used is UPS who are one of the best.

I have more of a problem understanding why people use the the oddball delivery companies who store parcels in shops and do not track properly.

I've never sent a heavy parcel outside of the UK without using Royal Mail but its so expensive. An ebay buyer is interested in one of my items which weighs approx 4.5kg. Can anyone recommend a good courier to the USA?

    Many thanks in advance :)

I can tell you who is cheapest by miles - parcelbee - up to 30kg to usa for £24.99 - as far as i know no other company will get even close. They have used UPS for the parcels i have sent. There is some questions raised as they are new to the scene but so far so so good in my experience. If you want to play safe then interparcel or worldwideparcelservices have both given me good service in the past.

Thanks Kayster - Interparcel should be around £38 as a rough quote. I'll see if my buyer is interested in bidding with that sort of postage price.

    Thanks for helping so quickly

payperparcel sent me an email saying they are having a special offer till 27th November. dhl 1 to 3 day is reduced to £6.49 plus vat and there is a reduction on european as well. You can pre buy at this price so if you like payperparcel (i've always had good service from them) then you might like to take a look before Friday.

banandoo sent an email saying DHL UK are putting their rates up from 30th Nov and TNT are going up from 5 dec. This might not affect all resellers of course.

Ive just booked a collection from parcelbee(who I still doubt lol) and I booked collection for tomorrow. the site afterwards says that a receipt will be given tomorrow after 9am! They shouldnt allow collection for next day if they dont give the shipping label straight away

Most of the carriers put their rates up with effect from December or January each year, it's standard Industry practise. The resellers will increase their rates at some point, margins are small.

Most tend to follow UPS/FEDEX who both put up rates by around 5%, interestingly the ground rates appear to be going up in relation to the air rates, according to UPS this is stop penalising the air shippers (??).
