Which is good advice for all courier companies.

Indeed, you should always assume that your parcel could be at the bottom of a cage full of parcels, so strong boxes and plenty of bubblewrap/loosefill are essential.

I need to send 3 parcels each weighing 1-1.1kg to Germany, USA & Australia with insurance up to £70 with delivery confirmation/tracking/signature at the moment the cheapest I can get is £21 from Royal Mail
Anybody found cheaper?? If I don't pack them in a box they are just under 1kg but its not preferable. All the sites recommended give estimates way over. :(

Had a quote for next day delivery with City Link via Parcel2Go. Their full compensation/insurance of £7.10 I found acceptable on parcels value of £195.

Not used them before. Has anyone else and can vouch for them please? Thanks.

Prcel2Go are alright, although when things go wrong with them they tend to go seriously wrong. For your parcel I'd recommend https://www.gwizzcouriers.co.uk

    Hi folks.

What would be the best options (and rough costs) to move 400-odd DVD's?

I reckon it will weigh around (or just under0 60Kgs.

Also any tips to reduce prices? E.g. use less bigger boxes vs more smaller boxes?

    many thanks!

You might just be better off putting those DVDs on a pallet, try http://www.speedshift.co.uk/ or http://www.interparcel.com/pallet/, or you could try using http://www.gwizzcouriers.co.uk/ or http://www.parcelmonkey.co.uk/. I'd say first try big boxes, then if that's too expensive try smaller boxes, but I reckon, like I said before, because of the sheer size (dimension wise) of that shipment a pallet might be best.

    Many thanks OTB.

it seems that Gwizz and monkey will be my cheapest options.

    Are these both reputable companies?

    Or are Parcel2Go any better?

  • I've personally used GWizz and Parcelmonkey, and they're both perfectly good, although occasionally the actual carrier can let you down but that's the same with all courier companies. P2G are just another company doing the same thing, they just tend to be more expensive than other companies and when things go wrong their customer service is really pretty poor.

    Hi,
I am looking for a courier company that I can book and then drop off at my local UPS depot so I don't have to wait in all day?
Is it possible to book with a re-seller and do that or will I have to wait in?
The various items are between 3kgs and 9kgs and from 30x40x8cm to 60x26x39cm.
I have spent a few hours trawling through this thread but my mind is spinning from all the various options!
    Thanks in adavance,
    MM x
