89p plus vat - they have "ryanair" pricing. start off cheap headline price then make on the add ons.

If you don't select a signature, then would the tracking to delivery (left in a safe place) be enough to win an INR dispute do you think?

I think it depends on the value of the item. I think £150+ it's needs to have a signature

As robot says the ebay wording is you need a sig for £150+ but i have lost an INR dispute that was tracked and shown as delivered but DHL could produce no sig and that was under £150 so it is not cut and dried.

Also if the receiver does not collect the package from depot or make arrangments for a redelivery within 5 days the package is returned to you and you face a charge (price unknown) for this return service. I know Citylink, Royalmail and DHL do free returns - not sure about others.

Anyone used ipostparcels.com before? need to find an alternative to Parcel Monkey now, i had been using their mailing bag rate for the past year and it worked well but after the £3 increase it is just not viable now.
ipostparcels is owned and run by UKMail, who I've used with no major problems arising

I've used TNT through parcel2go plenty of times without any problems. However, I will soon be sending a laptop to my brother (I'm in Scotland, he's in London). The laptop's probably worth about 400. Is it worth sending it insured, since the insurance to cover it is more expensive than sending the parcel? I guess that's where TNT make their money. Has anyone sent a higher-priced item such as a laptop without insurance before, or is it highly recommend to send with insurance? Thanks.

personally i never take out insurance and the money you save each time you can put towards the occassion when something goes wrong and given a fair wind you will end up ahead of the game as over 1/2 of your insurance money goes in profit and admin.
A lot of couriers won't cover computers so read through the small print.
you are going to pack it properly so you shouldnt need damage cover and you are going to used tracked courier so it shouldnt go astray and your brother isnt going to try any funny business. Personally i would use UPS rather than TNT.

Your laptop I'd use https://www.gwizzcouriers.co.uk as a UPS delivery would start from £6.99 + VAT and the insurance is unbelievably cheap.
