You can get Parcelforce via Paypal for £11.99 as long as it isn't oversize, you can get up to about £5 off that on various reseller sites, you can book that direct from your Ebay page, so your buyer can see the tracking and the costs too.

hi rfw, thanks for your post. im quite new to this ebay lark. is all the info about booking postage direct from ebay page contained in the postage sticky in the ebay forum?

With DHL couriers forcing all websites to use the same pricing this is now some of the highest prices I have seen for European deliveries. Grim :(

Yes, it look horrendous, I think this could be the death of many sites who rely on DHL!!! :(

Booked today at collectmyparcel.com and they have pricey DHL options (as do all now) but some good FedEx rates, some as good as the old DHL prices and Parcelforce International for Europe which I've never tried before.

Anyone got any comments on Parcelforce and sending to Europe?
  • Parcelforce, they are part of a network meaning delivery quality varies by destination, Fedex on interparcel are good, as are UPS for abroad, or https://www.interlinkdirect.co.uk are pricier for europe but worth the extra money (I think anyway)

    Can you elaborate? Links?
  • DHL are now regulating the prices that their services are being sold at on other websites, personally I think this will lose them more money than it gains them as people will use other couriers instead!!!

I can't find any info about this - has it been announced online anywhere?

They didn't announce it to the public, just to the courier brokers etc that use their services. Some of the brokers I use emailed me and told me, albeit only a week before the price hike. But most didn't bother telling their customers, it is not exactly good news is it so best to say nothing is their motto.

To be fair, it might not be Parcel Monkeys fault. It could be down to your local DHL depot or even a single driver. I use Parcel Monkey regularly for UK and international deliveries (have done for over a year) and have only ever had one problem which turned out to be City Links fault but PM sorted it out very quickly. Personally I wouldn't use anyone else.
