  • I don't know if this company has been mentioned previously in the thread but I would recommend Rapid Parcel. I have used them twice and the service to date has been excellent. This morning I booked a parcel collection online to go from UK to New Zealand, DHL were the cheapest and were here within half an hour to collect. They are offering 10% discount for the Christmas period. 2 kg to Auckland was £40.00. You can also track the delivery online.

I'm not spam :( Just signed up yesterday, and this was my first comment!

I saw your post and it did not read like an independant recommendation from a third party - it read like an advert written by someone connected with the company so looked like spam.
If you read through this thread you will get some good ideas how to make and an advert look less like spam - although with a bit of practice you can still spot them.
There are some listers who have two IDs and they ask and then reply themselves a bit later with the other ID - this is very effective until they post in the wrong ID then have to do some editing.:rotfl:

Just a thought for all those people whose deliveries went wrong. How about obtaining a refund from your debit card companies under the chargeback scheme.

haha fair enough!! I am new to this site and to forums, i was trying to give a genuine review of a website I think is great, especially since I send items every single week, and have sent items with other companys and not had a great experience. I'll remember your tips for next time!

Can anyone point me towards a decent cheap UK, reliable next day service with reasonable charges for extra insurance in case of loss/damage (looking for between £500-£1000)? The MSE feature on parcel delivery mentions figures of £500 insurance for £5 and £1000 for £10 but Parcels Please and Parcel2Go seem to want £25 for £500 and £50 for £1000, are there others I should be looking at instead?
  • try the sticky postage thread, although the cheapest company will vary greatly depending on the size weight and value of your item

I send a lot of parcels of all sizes some over 2.5m long and the best service I've found is Interparcel. They have a range of services and you can increase the insurance. Their standard and economy services use UPS and I've never had a problem with UPS yet. I've had lots of problems with TNT with them either trashing the parcels or delivering them empty!
Good customer service too as I received a refund (28 days later) for it.

There are two current threads regarding Interparcel's poor customer service. Both magically have newbies posting positive comments immediately after a criticism. Obviously Interparcel is monitoring this, and responding via aliases, Clear case of cheating, and making the company appear as underhand and unprofessional - a reason why no one should use them.

I would suggest that Interparcel would be better advised to show some humility (if they know what that means) and do something about the customer service, after all they are supposed to act as agents on behalf on their customers.

Hear hear - I noticed this too.

If Interparcel is prepared to spam these forums, can they really be trusted?
