  • Really the only affordable direct courier to book through for next day delivery is https://www.streetwisedeliver.com, who are an APC overnight franchisee, so can pass your order onto another franchise if you're not in their area, and APC are my favourite couriers in the winter, they aren't afraid of the snow!!!

And if you've got a heavy parcel they can be a bargain as they deliver up to 20kg for the same price, £14.39 inc VAT

thats tarrif for the majority of the main carriers for 25kg parcel

UPS are the only ones that will send oversize items AFAIK, it wont be pretty the price, but it will get there atleast. The problem is that your volumetric weight = 50kg, so most will say no automatically as the weight limit is 31. But as I say, UPS will do it.

fedex will do it as well but u will pay volumetric, it won't be cheap

Parcelforce via Ebay/Paypal is less than that for up to 30kg UK wide, but there are far better deals than that to be had for that weight even just sending one parcel.

Unfortunately there is a reason poeple call parcelforce parcelfarce, whereas I have yet to have a problem, or even a delay with APC and I've been using them 2 years, plus before VAT for 24 hour service even as a one-off, they're only £1 more than PF, and I'd prefer to support a local company, wouldn't you, because APC are a chain of local companies.
  • agreed:money:
  • tbh it really depend on how the depots are run locally as to if you get a good service from any carrier.. where one carrier may be strong in newcastle it may be really bad in leeds.
  • Just tried to use this company for the first time. Had problems with their website - it took forever to generate a postage label. Finally arranged for collection of the parcel but their courier never came for it. Cannot get hold of their customer service people - not responding to repeated emails. They are charging 10p/min to call them which I object to. Absolutely awful service. Will never bother with them again. Avoid.

Hi Kerry, May I advise you not to use UPPERCASE throughout your post, it is deemed "rude" as it looks as though you are SHOUTING...

This may be why your query hasnt been answered....

Sorry Ive not used the company you ask about.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

  • Even with 5% off most WPS services are still quite pricey
