And if you send >10 per week, the price is £4.50+VAT
The only down side is that you do tend to get more "issues" with courier delivery than with Royal Mail, either due to the courier or due to dozy buyers who order courier delivery (I offer a choice) but don't realise they have to be in when it's delivered.
To be honest l was slightly dreading the Christmas/New Year period in respect of how the couriers coped last year and not just due to the weather, however l was pleased to see the other day that when City Link picked up from me there were x2 City Link guys both with Temporary Employee ID badges and in training and they mentioned how they are extra staff for the holiday period.
So l will take this opportunity to publicly say to City Link CHELMSFORD :T well done your restoring my faith.0 -
I have a Robomow to send from PO32 (Isle of Wight) to mainland UK (Isle of Wight is classed as Mainland UK by some, but not by others!!)
The package weighs just shy of 40kg and is 101cm x 63cm x 35cm and is worth about £250.
I have tried a number of large packet couriers, but struggling to get the insurance.
Any advice would be great!! (Want to list on eBay ASAP!!) :A

GWizz do UPS Mainland (includes Isle of Wight I believe) Next Day @ £12.76 + VAT plus £1 + VAT for insurance up to £500.
Might get it cheaper elsewhere but they're generally pretty good for the heavy stuff. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

How is it included in Collect+'s price? Your contract is with P2Go, so the insurance is whatever that contract says.
Yes thats correct, but P2go is only an agent, Collect+ was the courier they chose and who delivered the parcel..If I had gone directly to Collect+, their standard service includes £50 insurance...(I found out later)Couponing....."every little hurts"
Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

I think you're missing my point. Again, your contract was with P2Go. The insurance is whatever it says it is in your contract with them. What Collect+ offer to people who book direct with then is not relevant, because (a) you booked with P2Go and (b) what insurance is included in Collect+'s contract with P2Go could be - and apparently is - different to what they offer to direct bookers. I'm not trying to start an arguement, just saying. They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0 -

Thank you very much for that. Much better than anything I had managed to find.
Has saved me about £30!!
Thank you. :beer:0 -

No, I am NOT missing your point....I agreed that my contract was with P2Go, what I am saying is, that if I had missed out P2Go(as an agent) and had gone straight to Collect+, then I would have saved myself £2 + vat, as their parcels are already insured for £50, and the delivery cost is the same.
I agree I cannot claim against P2Go, but thought they might just refund it, rather than lose a customer(although they had lost me alreadyCouponing....."every little hurts"
