  • Hi,

I am thinking of posting something from the UK to New Zealand and am wondering what the cheapest option is.

    I have not measured/weighed the item yet but I think it is approx 4 or 5kg and 60cm * 50cm * 40cm

...the best quote I have found so far is £112.60 from interparcel.com...

Are there any cheaper options than this, without compromising on trustworthiness of the service, and also including cover of around £500?

    Thanks,

    :)

Anyvan really works, I used them several times in the past few months - Shiply I have heard bad things about, but I guess that's the same for everything, there are always records of unhappy transactions, fewer people write about ones that went smoothly!.

Booked on Thursday to send a parcel to the Philippines the following day. I had two email from WPS and one contained instructions and the other was an invoice. I did not read invoice which had more instructions!!

Called WPS to re-arrange for Monday collection (today) but received call at 1.54pm saying that it was not possible to send a kid's laptop and mobile phone in the same package. The lady was very pleasant and had empathy for my situation. She did not know the reason why DHL would not allow a kid's laptop and mobile phone in the same package.

I suggested to her it was may because of the batteries and she said she would contact DHL and ask them. No callback so far, so I called WPS but their number is "TEMPORARILY OUT OF ORDER"!!!

    Frustration, frustration!!!

EDIT: Just managed to get through to WPS but lady's phone kept cutting out! She transferred the call to another phone and dealt with my query in a friendly efficient manner. It appears I am correct, there is a problem about having too many Li-Ion batteries in one package. I assured her that the kid's laptop used only standard AA batteries; they checked with DHL and the package will be collected tomorrow.
  • A google search of reviews seems to suggest they are fraudulent... :S
