Could anyone please advise me of the best way to send to Bulgaria an A4 envelope , under 100g, with important documents. Looked on Royal Mail but would I be better using DHL through parcels2go? Thanks for any advice.
Parcelmonkey are usually quite competitive abroad, or good old UPS through interparcel are OK, and for price you could try thepackagedeliverycompany however there has been some controversy in their area recently, they are very cheap but at the mo the service seems a bit hit and miss.

edit: I keep forgetting wedelivertheworld.co.uk are also good from the limited times I've used them

I hope someone can please help me. I've found the cheapest courier is DHL with worldwide parcel service but on the quote page it asks if it is documents and when I tick it it only shows TNT collection from business address only. On parcels2go and parcelmonkey there's no box for documents and both are showing DHL at 14.97 and 14.63 respectively. I've got no experience of sending letters like this and am worried about making a mess of this. Could someone please advise me if it's ok to book with worldwide and not tick the documents box? Have now put the documents in a jiffy bag to try and protect them. Thanks for any help.

If you use interparcel they do a special DHL documents service which is cheaper than DHL parcels service

I find myself needing to send small parcels weighing 2.5kg. Is the Parcelmonkey CityLink mailing bag service the cheapest (£4.85 + VAT) or is there something else out there? How are PM these days as I remember they had a bit of a rough patch? Ta

they are good for next day, but if it is less time sensitive there is collect+ (£4.99 inc VAT) if you're willing to drop off at a shop or if you want it collected you can use myHermes or Hermes through interparcel for the same price! (£4.99 ex VAT, personally I'd use myHermes as why deal with a middle man for no saving)

Both more expensive for a slower service though!

  • no they're not, collect+ is £1 cheaper, the £4.99 includes VAT

Oops, sorry, teach me to skim-read. Unfortunately I'm in the sticks, so dropping at a shop is not practical.
