I was daft enough to use Collect + on Friday, I dropped the parcel off at 13.40 on Friday, so far it's only tracked as moving 178 miles in that time.
It may be cheap but not worth it in my opinion.
Only try this service if you don't care how long it takes to arrive.
I have been trialling collect+, dropped a parcel off friday 22nd, delivered yesterday.
4 working days in total for me, not a bad service, and so much easier than going to the post office with parcels.

Yup, I generally find similar, and if it's two kilos to have it tracked and signed they usually work out cheaper

Mine was actually delivered 27th, so not as bad as it appeared it was going to be. Friday-Wednesday but it spent at least a full 24 hours in each place it was tracked.
I think that I'll offer it as a cheaper alternative but also DHL for anyone who wants it quicker or expensive items as you don't seem to get an online signature.

Unless it would mean a 30 mile round-trip like it would for me ;)

for 300g I don't think you will beat Royal Mail as second class is only £2.16 for a packet sized item up to 500g. Even up to 2kg I think you may well have to pay more for a courier as Royal Mail will do you a standard parcel for £4.41 up to 2kg and if it is only just over 1kg you can send it 1st class for £4.90 up to 1.25 kg.

The only time a courier will beat that all the time is if you have expensive items over £46 and need tracking, as then you would have to use Royal mail special, whereas couriers often have full tracking included in their prices.

Yes I have although not for a while now. They have excellent customer support. I would reccomend them.

I'd second that. Although their systems are not linked to CityLink's systems, so typically you only get the CityLink tracking number at about 9am on the morning of collection - which can be annoying if you have a couple to mark up and the CityLink man stood on the doorstep at 9am! (Whereas with ParcelMonkey's CityLink collections you get a barcoded label within a couple of minutes of booking). But you can ring GWizz and talk to a human being (and they actually answer the phone).

ETA: Oh and another thing - if you have a large/long parcel, then GWizz will let you book it with CityLink but PM won't (found this out when I had a load of items 165cm long).

That's why I don't generally recommend GWizz, in our area city link get here early when I don't have my label, then I get billed for a failed collection!
  • I have just had a buyer with what I though was a bit of a cheek,
In my listing it clearly stated delivery by myHermes, I even selected it on the drop-down on the advanced sell form, then
I got an e-mail just after the auction ended, with no prior contact, quite rudely telling me to send it through a different method,
wondering if anyone else has ever had a problem like this, and what did they do, I think as they couldn't be bothered
to contact me before, and they were quite rude, I'm going to stick to my guns!
