Well Parcel Monkey Rep.. I think the clue is in your signature....
"I am the official company representative of parcelmonkey. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues."
Rather thank just responding to posts which are slightly postitive.. or have no relationship to you company...
ie
"Please help me out and add to your post jammin."
why don't you address some of the issues raised by me and my fellow posters?
Then you are adding value to this thread and may actually demonstrate that customer service is important to Parcel Monkey.
Then again from what I have seen I don't think you have either the authority, or skills to be able to do that.......
Prove me wrong....... I dare you!!The only place where success comes before work is the dictionary…

I sent another parcel via parcel monkey last week. Same situation - missed collection on day 1.
On day 2 I received an email from parcel monkey saying they had detected the missed collection and giving me the ability to rebook the collection. Unfortunately the only collection day I could book was day 3.
I tried phoning citylink to get a collection on day 2 anyway, but even after about 5 phone calls to people saying it would be collected it wasn't. Final phone call to citylink was bit of a rant, and to their credit they did actually pick up on day 3.
Parcel Monkey: It's great that you have a system to detect missed collections, but you really need to sort out when you detect a missed collection. For citylink at least their tracking system is pretty much real-time, if you run your checks at approx 8.30pm UK time then you are pretty much guaranteed to pick up the correct parcel status and can then give customers the option to rebook for the next day.
Also... why do you need to re-issue the label every day. It's a pain to print off new labels and attach, and if you are out of the house and relying on someone else to wait for the courier you can't really expect them to re-print and re-attach labels.

I have used Parcels Please after I read about them here.
they promised a Friday pick up so I expected my parcel to arrive in Holland in time for christmas.
needless to say they did not turn up not Friday not Saturday not Monday not Tuesday but on Wednesday..
the paperwork stated clearly that it had to be collected on the Friday but the collecting courier did not get the order till the Tuesday afterwards.!! how's that for efficiency ......blame the snow??? and on top of that he was in my area on that Friday and following Monday and Tuesday
so my family will have a belated christmas as well. :T0 -
Well, the parcel stuck in Durham made it to the customer on xmas eve, with no thanks to ParcelMonkey, who have updated the ticket to say it was delivered on the 13th - cool magic trick that considering it didn't reach the depot until the 15th!! They've basically spouted what it says on City Links website (which is incorrect!!).
ParcelMonkey, get your act together!!0 -
The backlog situation was very bad over Christmas, which was the fault of the weather and the fact that it was near Christmas. As more and more parcels went into the depots and were unable to go out as normal because of the weather it causes a build up then add to that the thousands more consignments being released into the system every day means that there simply isn't room in the warehouses for it so freight has to be held back elsewhere. In a normal situation couriers websites would be able to track your parcel as usual. The situation before Christmas was not usual and it would not have been possible for the websites to track all parcels correctly because they were either stuck in transit or unsorted in the depots as everybody is working flat out desperately trying to alleviate the congestion. Durham in particular has been terrible with the weather and in situations like that courier companies need to close depots as it just isnt safe to carry on. So although it looks as though the company has lost your parcel or is telling you lies about it, it isn't it is just having to focus on trying to get as much out as possible. Sometimes it is just not possible to please everyone when disasters like this are occurring behind the scenes.0

ParcelMonkey, get your act together!!
Resellers (Parcel Monkey) tracking will always will reflect what the Courier (City link) tracking says- as will ALL the resellers tracking - be it Parcel Monkey, Parcel2go or anyone you care to name. No resellers have their own tracking, nor do they handle parcels, they have no vans, no depots etc. They link to the couriers tracking.
Resellers will know no more about your parcel or when your parcel will be delivered than you can see for yourself from the tracking info on the couriers site.
Resellers function by taking the details you put in to their website and relay those to the chosen courier. Courier collects than delivers (or not). Resellers get to handle the interface with the customer and when deliverys are going to plan everyone including the sender pats themselves on the back and think well done. Then the snow comes and everything falls apart and the reseller is overwhelmed with problems that he really has no answer to as he knows no more than the tracking details the irate sender can see.
If you want to deal direct with the courier you can so you cut out the reseller .The problem is you will not like the price - say 3 to 4 times increase in price - and your parcel will still be delayed if there is bad weather. What your extra money has bought you is the right to shout at the courier directly but his customer service is overwhelmed as well so you are back to square one.

Please help me out and add to your post jammin.
I don't know if I dare type too much.
Some earlier posts have gone missing leaving the rather peculiar request for jammin to enlarge on his comment.
One of these missing posts was from a certain company representative saying he would not be posting for a while as his posts had caused a lot of complaints so he was going to enter a period of silence to prevent further escalation0
