Well I tried paypal resolution centre, I can get through to the "submit" button so if matters are not concluded by this time Tommorrow, not necessary a delivery but at least a detailed explanation on where my package is I will find out what happens.

Also where does the duty of care lie..? The agency? The company? Or both? You never know that may end up being explored next...!

• I used Interparcel to send a PS3 via HDNL, huge mistake. Collection wasn't made on Monday or Today and from what I've read on their site even if HDNL just never turn up to collect this thing they'll just continually rearrange collections so I can't get a refund. I think I've wasted a tenner here.

I cannot see anyone in the courier business being happy at the moment. I would think everyday is a nightmare as a never ending stream of angry customers jump and down demanding (quite rightly) problems be sorted.
In an earlier email you suggested that the parcelmonkey rep had "chosen not to accept emails". This is not the case. Any official rep is unable to send or receive emails - this is the way this board is set up and it is not Matts choice. If you want to contact him direct try matt@parcelmonkey.com. My experience is if you are due a refund you will get it but you need to be patient.

Parcelmonkey sell on price and like many resellers have a customer service that just copes in the good times - this would be obvious to anyone who has read these boards.
Has it really come as such a shock when at the busiest time of the year with the transport system in chaos and problems probably going from 2 or 3% of transactions to perhaps 50% that things head south on the resolving problem front?

I booked a collection of a parcel via Parcel2Go's website last Thursday 16/12 using DHL Euro Plus - advertised as a 2-3 day delivery. It's a load of Christmas presents for a relative's kids in Italy (but that's not really relevant!). Site 'suggested' same day collection and let me proceed with the booking.

Paid £34.19 at the time(!). Guess what... parcel is still here.

All I get from P2G is an automated email saying my parcel collection has been booked, followed by another a few hours later saying it has been cancelled and will be rebooked the next day... They list a load of affected postcodes but mine (SE) is not one of them...

I tried to contact them to cancel the collection, but no response -

Trying to phone or email them is pointless... Waste of time.. just an automated response to emails.... On phone you get told 'all our operators are busy' and get cut off....

I want my money back! Will debit card company (Smile bank) refund or do I have to go to Trading Standards or a Small Claims Court? Advice please
• Morning everyone,

First of all sorry for not responding on here for a few days but like many I have been struck down with the horrible flu like bug doing the rounds.
Just read over the posts and it looks like I have taken a bit of a beating for not being here. Kayster Thanks very much for making the point you did as I couldn't have put it better myself.

rode_tulpen, If your parcel is on it's way back to us in Southampton we will re send it to it's destination. I can't explain how this has happened but will make sure it gets sent on. Also I will check on the status of the order in Durham.

Banja,

Were you not sent claims forms from our claim department? We have looked into the parcels with DHL but at the moment they have not come back with anything.

• I have used interparcel.com for three deliveries to France in the past 18 months, picked up and delivered on time, easy as anything. You feed in the volumetric and weight, then have a choice of prices with various carriers. No problems, will continue to use very happily.
• So thankfully Interparcel have refunded my money, something I didn't expect now I'm wondering what the hell to do. It's HDNL's fault for not picking up the parcel but do I try another courier?

parcelmonkey rep, still haven't got a refund from you, how long do are taking to refund people. You dont want too many people lodging disputes via paypal as paypal monitor the accounts and if they get a high number of disputes they have a habit of putting account on suspension or worse bannign them from using there systems. I dont want to add to this by putting my two failures under dispute.

thanks

My hat off to City Link (booked via Parcel Monkey). Parcel collected in Leeds yesterday the 21/12 and it was delivered today the 22/12 in Essex.

I have been very lucky recently using City Link, on the one occasion when DHL was the courier that is when problems occurred.
