i think so, the guy was driving a unmarked van but was carrying a barcode scanner thingy so needed the barcodes on the parcels to get them in the system. was so impressed that i gave him a couple of bottles to say thanks for coming back as he didnt have to do that. I'm over the moon as this was ebay stuff and i was thinking that i was going to have to refund the buyers and be left with the stuff after christmas and lose money.
will definatley be sticking to interparcel too, quick responses despite probably being a nightmare at the mo, no dis respect to parcel monkey but perhaps they are a smaller outfit and struggle to cope when things go wrong.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
UPS are not collecting any more parcels in the UK until 29th December due to the huge backlog.
Not sure what other couriers are doing.....0 -

I know!! A bit annoyed with UPS really for not contacting us beforehand (as we have an account) so we could advise customers - but hey ho - most will understand given the circumstances!
i dont think people will mind and certainly will be more understanding as long as they get information, same thign with all those people waiting for flights... no information and causes friction when your left standing like a lemon and not being told what will happen.:)Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0 -
It's been 20 days since my two parcels were supposed to arrive in Belgium from London with Parcel Monkey.
I have received one but the other two are "on hold" since December 6. I have tried to contact DHL Belgium and DHL UK and they told me the claim for missing parcels to initiate a search in their warehouse has to come from Parcel Monkey directly which they did not do.
The parcels contained Christmas gifts for my children and my family and I have no idea where they are.
Could someone please help me sort this out?0 -
sorry to here of all the issues with parcelmonkey, just checked my two parcels with interparcel that were collected last night, one delivered and one out for deliveyr today, which given the circumstances is amazing.Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!0

What a surprise. 24 hours on and parcel monkey can not give me any information.
The rep has not returned to address any of the issues raised by mse's and are offering appalling customer service.
I urge anyone to think twice about using these apes!
On a side.
As I paid for the delivery via pay pal. What are my chances of a sucsessful charge back?? After all no delivery, no goods although I paid for the extra insurance to cover this situation if the monkey won't reply to my claims enq, I may need to resort to other means to get my monies back...The only place where success comes before work is the dictionary…

Here's my experience today.
UPS not collecting but will accept parcels if you take them to the depot - the ones i dropped off today are showing "in transit on time" so thats a good sign.
Going to UPS I passed three other carriers depots (they all huddle together on the same estate) and what struck me about them all is how quiet they are - no vans moving, no people going in or out - nothing like these places normally are. One driver told me that with people missing through sickness, annual leave, holidays and now the bad weather throwing out the road trunking of parcels the systems had pretty much collapsed and that was it now until New Year.0 -

I think its important to remember that in relation to missing parcels it is the courier company at fault and no the agencies that we book via.
Where clearly these agencies fail is in relation to the customer service side of their business. It would be interesting to know if a refund via Pay Pal is possible as this would hopefully force the agencies to deal with matters.
Also these agencies need to stop hiding behind the recent weather issues and backlogs, poor customer service was occurring long before.0
