  • It was my first time using the above and I ordered parcel to be uplifted and delivered to Inverness using the premium Saturday Delivery service at £23.31. Time being critical as the item had to be framed in time for a special birthday party.
It was picked up on Friday at 12:57 (great I thought) and I relayed the info to my customer......however it still hasn't arrived:mad:
It's been an absolute nightmare and I've wasted precious work time trying to sort this out, worse still, my customer has waited in all day Saturday, Monday and Tuesday to no avail. The info given to us was inaccurate and Parcel Monkey/City Link do not have any way of contacting their support teams after 12:00 on Saturday:mad:
I will NEVER EVER use Parcel Monkey or City Link again! Service? there is NONE!

  • Kazz151171,

Could you give me an order number or the name of the City or town you live in please?
I want to contact the local depot in question and find out why your items were not collected.

KelticK, If you could provide an order number then I will try and find out where your item is.

Missed collections and failed deliveries are our biggest headache despite being down to the control of the courier companies we pass the orders onto.
If the process fails then we make no money and get the negative press which is not what we want.
We are in daily contact with our courier partners regarding service levels and in general have a vey high success rate as shown on our live review page which is found via the link on our homepage.

By the way welcome to you both to MSE.

Just thought l would try and balance this thread a little with my positive experience of using ParcelMonkey.

I used PM for the 1st time on Monday 15th Nov after seeing their details on MSE. I am usually a P2G user.

I had 2 parcels to go for the same address. On PM via City Link l paid at total of £7.04 with P2G they wanted to charge me for 2 separate parcels.

I also had 2 other parcels to 2 different addresses.

All 3 deliveries were collected by approx. 11:30am, on Tuesday 16th no issue with the guy signing the Collection Receipts.

All 3 parcels were tracked without issue and delivered today the 17th at 10:08, 11:24 and 11:57

At approx. 9:10am today l booked another parcel, this time a Same Day Collection and it was collected by a different City Link driver at approx. 12:30 today and as well as signing the sheet the guy also gave me one of their cards detailing the companies contact number should there be any issues.

I'm not saying l may not experience issues in the future (fingers crossed l don't) but so far both PM and City Link have come up trumps for me.
Also another added benefit of NOT using P2G is my inbox isn't overloaded with email after email for each delivery.

Now my only issue with PM is........don't let me down with my Cash Back via TopCashBack.....lol

Arent all online businesses required to have their contact details(including phone numbers) as a l
egal requirement, somewhere on the site, where its easily accesible ie:contact us page? It seems that PM doesnt have one

EDIT: They are legally required to show their address, if not their contact number:

Could we please be accurate? If you posted at 5pm, that's not all day.
  • ive just looked at the couriers for an item that I want to send as it is really heavy 16kg, and really cant believe the difference in price compared to sending via Royal Mail, especially as they collect from home. Ive even double checked and triple checked the prices, are they just to good to be true? Is there any thing I should look out for as for's and against's?
  • Waqasahmed,

Our address is on all email contact and is not something we try and hide.
We are based in the Regus building next to Southampton airport.

Jezzebell, Like I offered to a couple of other posters yesterday please post an order id on here and I will look into your problem if the item was not picked up a little after you posted.

I know you're not trying to hide it, but I've not found it shown on your site. You may include it in emails, but I've never seen the address on the site(as required by law)
